...in Groves vs. Froch round 1, or Barthelemy vs. Mendez round 2? :huh

The latter was incredibly obvious. Unless you had the volume way down you could hear the bell sound & finish before all but the first of Barthelemy's punches landed. There wasn't much ambiguity whatsoever.

Wasn't his fault mind, he was caught up and it didn't seem intentional and he was already in the momentum of throwing his combination before hearing the bell - fact remains, several power blows on a hurt opponent came afterwards, very cut and dry with no room for interpretation. That makes the KO illegitimate. (even if Mendez would've otherwise been ****ed after his minute's rest on the stool anyway)

Mendez has appealed and won. He's reinstalled as champion..

I hope for his sake he does the weight better this time because he looked like he was badly drained.

Weight making seems to be a serious issue in that camp

I suspect he will be very careful in cutting weight, and then extremely careful - as far as stinking out the joint with 100% negativity, a'la Dirrell vs. Stevens - if and when they rematch.

He will probably, with negotiating leverage regained along with his belt, insist on the largest ring allowable.

I couldn't beleive the time Guzman hit the scales 9lb heavy for a title fight, it's the opponent who's worked his nuts off you feel for

I has a bet on mendez with powers, their rules say that in the event of a no contest they refund all bets, yet they refuse to do mine
