cuz dannys team is smart. they know he is not ready. and there isnt no shame in that. and not to mention he is still fighting at 140. and after the right with lucas its smart to relax for a minute come back take a fight like he is vs herrera to make sure hes still has everything intact after that brutal fight. coming right away to fight mayweather isnt a smart idea and that is a way mayweather also picks his opponent. which also plays into his advantage

if i could make the decision on floyd's next fight purely based on merit i would have to choose danny garcia... but the truth is that is a shutout waiting to happen

everything points toward a matchup between the two. the fight will eventually happen. they will both mix it up before floyd retires. they're both al haymon, showtime and golden boy, theyre both in the same weight range and are both titlists. this fight is going to happen. in fact, the fact that garcia is taking more or less a stay sharp fight against herrera is all the more reason to believe he and mayweather will square off. danny is simply staying relevant and waiting for his shot.

A combination of not being ready (guy has not fought at 147 yet) and him not wanting it (he has said in the past he wants to build his own legacy) I'm thinking why risk it sure Garcia would get a career high payday (maybe 5-6 mill) but what if he gets beat so bad that he is never the same again and with Garcia style he likes to counter and outbox both of which Mayweather does light years better than him add that to speed and power (we do not know if Garcia power will carry over at 147) its a beatdown waiting to happen
