Does anyone else feel Danny should have made his next fight at 147, I think he could have potentially faced Porter this time out, a win would get him a title, come back in June and face someone like Collazo to get more comfortable at the weight a d then in September he would be a viable opponent for Floyd...

With how difficult a time Floyd is having choosing an opponent for May I think GB should be trying to position other fighters to be the September opponent...

Either they give Thurman a title shot and a couple or one more big win or transition Garcia to 147, God forbid in several more months we be hearing Khans name again...

He's better off staying at 140 till he decides the time is right to move up. Rushing for potential paydays won't do him any good.

I'd like to see him try to unify all the belts before he moves up. Garcia vs Provodnikov and Peterson would be good fights in any case, Provodnikov in particular.

He's only 25, plenty of time to move up in weight.

I think he should stay at 140 until he is no longer comfortable at the weight. There are still some good fights at LWW like Provodnikov or a Matthysse rematch. There is a lot of danger at 147, I'm not sure how effective he would be at that weight. He could beat guys like Maidana, Malignaggi, Broner and some others but guys like Pacquiao, Bradley, Mayweather etc could beat him.

Porter would rough him up pretty good . Garcia would be in the hardest fight of his life .

Okay so my next question becomes who then is or could become respectable future opponents for Floyd, not under the top rank banner or who isn't a middle or Super middle....

We all know Floyd is a natural welter and a small jmw so at 37 it should not be held against him if he doesn't face a Golovkin or Sergio or any other naturally bigger and stronger fighter...

Who at 147 or 154 can he face in his next 3 fights that wouldn't be a cherry pick...I know I will hear Lara and maybe Thurman....who else is there that will be a legit contender...

He's not overrated he hasn't beaten any atg in hypothetical match ups...haven't seen any Danny Garcia expresses, the majority picked Lucas to slaughter him, and no one would pick him over Bradley, Pac or Floyd...

He's a solid technically sound fighter with a sturdy chin, will and heart...he's a respectable champion...how is he overrated?

Garcia's fight night weight is 150 the exact same as Floyd Mayweather so of course he should. Oh wait.....only Floyd is obligated to gave guys 2 and 3 divisions highers then him in weight.

he should unify at 140 before moving up. those guys at 147 aren't going anywhere anytime soon. the future looks bright for that division.

If Garcia is a bum, then boxing is on the verge of dying. :patsch

He might not be the best, at least not yet, but the kid can fight.

And he is exciting and good for boxing.

A lot of non-boxing fans that I know saw him fight on the undercard of the canelo vs money, and they loved him.

    He is good for boxing.
