Im just going on what the people around me who are black and what they see as racial abuse wherever it comes from, black on black they see as trying to infer as they are superior in some way to their peers and insinuated as a slavery term. Obviosuly not every case but the people in my circle would take great exception to being called 'black ****' as opposed to '****', by anyone

it's a grey (sorry!) area for me. sure the term to which you refer was racist, but has been brought back into prominence as non-racist. so surely it should be based on how the user means it, rather than the colour of their skin, which in itself is arguably racist.
