Yea suppose to be another one end of april but still not confirmed, plans are to put in good performance on saturday coming and take it from there. Keep learning and gradually build up the rounds. I hope to fight for irish title before year is out :bbb
Anyone got any idea what time the first fight on Saturday night be on at?? I ****ing hate missing any fights. Just going with girl and like most women she takes forever to get ready so I dont want to rish missing out on many fights.
its not going 2 sell 2 irish tv without a biggish irish boxer on the bill... but 2 b fare 2 hyde hes put togather a good event:good
boxnation have promised ormond [a w@rren boxer] that he wood headline a show in dublin..but tat aint happening as they have put him on the frampton bill instead.. so i cant c them being interested in tis bill:good
or with.............., RTÉ probably wouldn't show a card with Macklin vs Lee, Carl Frampton in a World title fight, Eamon O'Kane in European title fight, Patrick Hyland in a title eliminator, Spike O'Sullivan vs Fitzgerald, Henry Coyle vs Lee Murtagh, Stephen Ormond vs Jamie Kavanagh, Martin Lindsay in a comeback fight, and Ryan Burnett, Paddy Gallagher and John Joe Nevin on the undercard.....actually **** it throw in the comeback of Bernard Dunne and John Duddy, with Paul McCloskey aswelll, unless the show was paid for at someone else's expense. RTÉ have seemingly adopted a similar stance to the BBC and do not show boxing (barring a very small amount of amateur boxing).
Thats a very good point Marty. Also with all the clout of the RTE unions their workers high wages mean that an RTE Outside Broadcasting Unit costs a lotta dough. RTE claim to be broke so ---no boxing. TV3 pay a pittance in comparison to RTE. Why cant they show some boxing? Maybe if they were lobbied hard, and convinced there was an audience for it, they would?
What about the setanta channel Premier Sports? They have showed some boxing in the past, so you would think they would get involved in Irish boxing.
