This is pretty huge... Great card.

 

Pretty impressive how AB are getting these published before boxrec. They listed Su-Yun Hong v Mako Yamada WEEKS before boxrec.

 

Promise you IBs gonna be a happy bunny..

Hell, even I'm impressed by this card I'm a far from being a big follower of the lower weights.

 

El Confesor is a huge step up with so little experience.

 

Wish I could say the same about people who only/primarily get excited over heavyweights...but I honestly can't respect such people or call them real fans of the sport. :conf

 

Innoue is really brave. He has the skills, but its maybe to early.

 

Heavyweight or Heavier Weights?

People obsessed with only heavyweight division are weird. I'll watch this card if it's on at a reasonable hour in the UK, but I know nothing about these lower weight fighters.

Below 122 I know nothing.

Weak titlist or no, Hernandez is an extremely dangerous puncher, far more than his KO rate suggests.

Barring either Inoue blitzing him via KO1 or executing flawless defense all night and managing to avoid getting touched despite giving up big height and reach advantages, the little Monster will feel impact greater than anything he ever has thus far.

 

Yeah, I was referring more to people who consider HW the division, and in whose eyes the sport lives or dies.

Those with a more tempered and moderate view like yourself, who aren't heavy-or-bust and follow everything from super feathers to super middles and realize that welter has for most our lifetimes been the real 'glamor' and money division, but who generally ignore the "midgets" - you guys IMO are just limiting yourself and missing out. Some of the best stuff boxing has to offer happens in the fly and bantam ranges, and that has been the case throughout all eras.

 

Murata said that Inoue was amazingly strong for his size and I tend to believe the Olympian. Yaegashi said something similar.

Interesting that Matsumoto is so tall, would never have thought he was just a division bigger than Yaegahsi and is actually SEVERAL divisions lower than Hosono who he towers over.
