Paul Smith and Rocky Fielding should be fighting each other in the main event on this bill as both of them have titles and could have a British/Commonwealth unification fight. Whereas Tony Dodson should be fighting Callum Smith for the English title.
It makes more sense and puts a better fights on the bill, but Hearns seems to be keeping it up his sleeve for another bill.

paul smith is ranked #4 in the wbo, doubt he wants a tricky fight like fielding to hurt his rankings, reckons he wants one defence, give it up and then move up the wbo ladder

Would love to see fielding vs smith on this card. Both been preparing for a fight so don't see why it can't be made. Also agree Dodson callum smith would be great for the card.

he does he'd openly said on twitter this (when it was Webb) would be his last fight at domestic level as wants the belt for keeps and to then move on

Now its not so much of a push over will he stick to that and fight Fielding, will Hearn let it happen? We'll see...I have a feeling the boards decision blew Hearn and Smiths plans out the window.

I know what you're saying, but Fielding would be a good defence and more importantly would be a good main-event as well especially with it being in Liverpool. And if Paul Smith is to get in mandatory position with the WBO then he will need to beat a ranked opponent at some point, so the thought of fighting Fielding shouldn't be a problem.
I think Smith stops him anyway and that would set him up nicely for an eliminator.

Is fielding ranked in the wbo? Boxrec actually have fielding ranked one spot higher than smith (31 v 32), Callum smith is 25
