Never i've seen Froch so lazy, slow and unprepared as against Groves. I'm not taking anything away from George but i'm not gonna be surprised if Froch starts to pressure him and have success with that early in their rematch.

He didn't under prepare he just didn't respect Groves and didn't see him as a threat. Look at the entrance in the Groves fight and look at the entrance in the Bute fight, big difference.

Agree, I think he was well prepared but surprised by how good Groves was.

I think Groves hit much harder than Froch thought and was much faster
I think everyone was surprised by how big Groves looked on the night and Froch was awful. He did recover to make a fight of it in the later rounds.

The question is does what does Carl have left and can George box is way though the rounds and avoid the big shots

Oh, he knew. They'd sparred together. Also, watch the post-fight press conference. McCracken even admits they never liked the idea of the fight because GG was all wrong for him.

Froch wasn't underprepared, he was wary. That's the difference.

He looked 'slow, unprepared and lazy' because that's how groves made him look. In terms of boxing ability and natural athleticism you can't even compare them.

I do think he took Groves lightly but then again, he's 36 and I reckon he's past his best now. He'll be even worse in the rematch imo.

Froch thought he only had to turn up, and nearly came a cropper.

Froch and McCracken knew what they were getting into. All the talk was bravado.

I think Froch had his head up his own arse again and was believing his own hype too much. It's alright talking crap and running down an opponent in the build up of the fight but you've got take him seriously and assume he's capable of hurting you or beating you, if you dont do that you're going to get caught and risk getting embarrased and losing.

So I do think Froch underestimated Groves and was caught totally off-guard by how good and how powerful Groves was. That said, I dont think Froch taking it more seriously will make it any easier of a fight for him.

He didnt respect him enough and as a few other's have said I think Groves suprised him.

I can't really see how Froch wins this fight now unless Groves tires in championship rounds again...Groves has shown he is pretty much superior in his speed / hands and feet. He can make this a very boring fight and I think that's what it might be.

I want Froch to win but not sure how he can, only way is dragging Groves into the trenches agaon...I think Groves will be on his bike this time around.

yep, agree... he was prepared but was not expecting what groves brought to the ring.. hence the wild punch throwing in ruond 1 where he found himself on the canvas... he will be more careful this time however, can Groves continue to dictate the pace and slip his punches like he did the first fighT? Or will Froch change his tactics and start countering with his own jabs like he did against Kessler?

that's why this fight is exciting we don't know what's going to happen.
