I think Golden Boy will get in on the Eastern Europeans, there are so many talented Eastern European Amateurs now, they are beating the cubans. I think we will see more.

 

It's not just the EE's that Arum is getting in on though but also the Asian's. For the first time it seems we're going to actually have GLOBAL boxing promoters.

 

Any thought on why GBP does not sign fighters from "overthere"?

Yes a year from now light heavyweight will be dimissed as a weak division devoid of any talent alongside those other dead divisions crusierweight and heavyweight.

 

I don't think so the four guys at LHW mentioned are all skilled, aggressive, hard punching fan friendly fighters. People already love Kovalev.

Kovalev is not loved by any stretch. They are calling him a racist with a glass jaw. If you took the exzct same fighter, painted him Black and gave him a U.S. passport he would be 10X more popular and making at least that much more in his fight purses.

Face it those fighters are seen a boxing's third class citizens and treated that way particularly in terms of economic compensation.

Although things are changing but change does not happen overnight. The true lynchpin for their equality will rest on how well Vasly Lomachenko performs. his success could greatly quicken the above process.
