They've been talking about it for a couple of years, back when Frampton had the Commonwealth title and Quigg was the British Champion people wanted to see it. Their teams said that it would be a huge fight if one of them had a world title so they wanted to let it build up.

Now that Quigg has a world title (legit or not) why not make it happen ? They're both unbeaten and it would be HUGE in Manchester with Frampton bringing an army of Irish fans down with him.

Do you guys think it will ever happen or will politics get in the way of another great fight ?

I personally would love to see Eddie Hearn take a leaf out of Goldenboy's book and put it as the chief support to Froch-Groves II, Goldenboy had Garcia-Matthysse as the chief support to Mayweather-Canelo when it could easily have done a PPV on it's own, why doesn't Eddie do this ? Froch-Groves II will be a huge stadium fight and Frampton-Quigg would be incredible and boost the PPV sales as well.

I doubt it will ever happen to be honest, Quigg's team don't want any part of Frampton, the chances of Eddie Hearn adding this to the undercard a huge fight like Froch-Groves II just like Garcia-Matthysse was added to Floyd-Canelo is virtually impossible. We will see Scott Quigg defend his title on May 31st, but it'l be against some other imported bum, the "saviour of boxing" Eddie Hearn would never do what Goldenboy did and put 2 big fights on the same card.

Plus Frampton would absolutely DESTROY Quigg, completely different level, it'd be over inside 6....And Hearn knows it.

I think the problem now is frampton has no title so doesn't have much bargaining power on the split therefore if the fight were to be made he would get raped on the purse as well as in the ring

frampton has no bargaining power:patsch... u do do realise frampton sold 6000 tickets in the first 2 days of his next fite being announced.... and that he is fiting in front of a 9000 sell out crowds in non title fites... i would say thats the sort of bargaining power quigg could only dream of:good

I find it hilarious that the paddies are so DESPERATE for a good boxer they're willing to latch onto a guy who hails from a completely DIFFERENT country.

Hang on, Frampton boxed for IRELAND, he's from the island of IRELAND.

Exactly what is your post implying?

if Eddie Hearn put Quigg vs Frampton on the Froch Groves undercard then he should be locked away in broadmoor. the UK doesn't have to many massive fights that can be made putting two of them on the same bill would be madness.

He might sell a lot of tickets but quigg might not want to fight in Ireland and unfortunately the champion holds a lot of the cards, especially when he's the man with the more widely viewed tv station. Let's not forget frampton turned down an ibf eliminator to fight this flyweight he's got next. And don't tell me he didn't want the kiko fight because he was sat at ringside when he fought mathebula so how does he go from going the ibf route to now fighting an eliminator for Santa Cruz. He will beat this flyweight, dodge Santa Cruz (especially if he won't go to Ireland) dodge quigg again and fight another average opponent

Cant see it happening watched Box Nation Bunce Hour and what Frampton and Shane were saying they are going down a different route. Quigg going down his route and think eventually one of them will lose and the appeal will be gone

Lets not do any more of that where is Frampton from sh1t, there are whole threads for that already

The fight wont happen for as long as each of them have alternative money earning options. Maybe a few years down the line when they have picked up a loss or two between them, but not now. Golden goose and all that
