Got to admit big fan of Simpson but think he's to small for lightweight and against a big solid lightweight like Murray bad match up .

Simpson gonna get destroyed yet again, thought he'd learned his lesson to stay away from 135 after Coyle slapped him about.

Be fun while it lasts though.

Totally agree with this. Simpson is a big featherweight who's comfortable at super feather. But him moving up to lightweight against a big puncher at the weight is bad news. I thought he cud give crolla a good test with crolla being a small lightweight who cud make sf if he wanted to but murray is all wrong for simpson.

It's all about opinions mate, you may say JM has only boxed 4 rounds in 2 years and not made LW in that time will that affect him?
Eithier way Simpson is bang up for this one and looking sharp in gym

Good to here I've always like to watch simmo never in a dull fight had some rough decisions over the years hope he gets a good payday then moves back down where imo he can b a force at domestic level feath or sf.

Is the fight made at the lightweight limit? This could be one of the most important factors in the fight because John really struggled with Lightweight when he fought my brother Lee in 2009!

Imo Simpson might just be a wee bit on the small side to put a dent in John Murray but Simpson will be a live opponent and if there is any mental scarring from the beatings from Kevin Mitchell and Brandon Rios then Simpson might just sneak the win.

Good luck to Simpson, Ricky and all the other Scottish fighters.

Murray doesn't tend to be in bad fights, so this should be well worth a watch.

Hopefully next month, he twisted his knee and had to cancel his fight at Ravenscraig on the 28th.

Is the fight with Simpson made at 9.9? That would defo benefit Simpson.

You're brother was looking good in that fight mate. Murray is one tough boy though.
What is the plans with Lee is he going to fight Willie Limond for his Commonwealth title?
