A total wanker of a person and was always going to struggle against the true elite but he did have unreal KO power and certainly brought a lot of publicity to the sport, thats for sure.
Hamed easily the biggest wanker to set foot in a ring, how satisfying it was to see him totally humiliated by Barrera, fat little wanker, hope he gets knocked down.
He never fought anyone of elite level standard - well he did but he lost However he was great value of money and his fights were very exciting, all action and generally ended in a KO His fights against Robinson and Kelly are easily two of my favourite ever in terms of excitment at the time of watching (certainly post Benn/Eubank/Watson)
I've never seen someone throw shots at the angles he did. The job he did on Robinson was a master class
Vile human being. Nonetheless supreme athletic ability and serious one punch power. The Naz, Eubank, Benn and later Hatton years really were good for the sport in this country. We need someone like that around these days.
frustratingly brilliant as he was the type of boxer i could never really like...as he was so unorthodox
Dont be ****ig stupid So Naz was a brilliant textbook technician with not so great reflexes atsch It's common knowledge that Naz isn't technical he used his natural talent and athletic ability over technique, especially in defence. He used to fall about when missing shots and had virtually no technique to his defence bar using reflexes. When he stepped up and fought technical guys who could counter him his style was found out to be so clumsy and vulnerable. Watch him fall about when missing shots or getting cuffed. Man he looked so bad vs Kelly and MAB, flopping and stumbling about all over the place. That equates to **** technique- bad foot placement, over leaning, etc. David Haye is another talented, athletic UK boxer without great technique. Please dont come back and try and make a case for Naz being a brilliant technical boxer because he wasn't and it's been discussed to the death on boxing forums in the past. He's an unorthodox boxer with a unique style that was brought to effect by his freak natural, athletic ability. He could avoid shots from weird angles and throw them from weird angles. It isn't fundamentally, technically correct to box the way Naz did and as well as it being the main reason he could generate great power, it also off set his balance and made him vulnerable to counters. Naz is a perfect example of a boxer with fundamentally bad technique.
Your talking complete **** he was unorthodox but was not technically garbage he could of boxed with a technically correct style as you put it but chose not to because he's unorthodox style was more effective as it was putting people to sleep Barrera is a legend no crime getting beat off him just because maybe you don't like him as a person it's Silly of you to question his abillity.
