49 year old Wright looks to face his first semi-live opponent in well over a decade, does he have a shot in hell? Does Welliver end the dream?
The poll should have included boxing being the loser by KO. Perhaps the winner could fight Joe Bugner and the loser fight De Mori?
Welliver suffered a broken arm in the 2nd round and the fight ended a few rounds later. 49 year old Wright the winner. Wright joins Solis as the only fighters to stop Welliver.
Found footage of the fight. Welliver was the fattest I've ever seen him :admin Even fatter than the 49 year old Wright and that is really saying something. The fight between these two obese, waddling fat guys was an absolute farce and Welliver's corner throwing the towel in was probably the highlight of the fight.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/taranaki-daily-news/sport/9725004/Big-boys-biff-before-bad-break-ends-it Its ****ing disgusting to watch.I cant blame the 50yr old man...but this self proclaimed world beater is a deadsett G-UP wrong strategy IMO - If you have injured your arm get on your bike pop the jab/straight of your good arm against the very hittable wright, not try and get in close, with the bad arm getting hit in clinches, blocks, wrestle etc for further pain /damage to occur
Thanks Shoota. Had my doubts whether the fight was gonna happen when date & location changed & card wasn't updated. It was scheduled on this show http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=687057 - Wright's PABA interim title. I'll insert results in Boxrec during the week...when totally bored
