Imagine if Froch dominated and stopped Groves within 5 rounds

    All I hear from posters that Froch was coming on strong and would of stopped him later etc... IMO that is not what I saw, the final attacks in round 9 were definitely a last roll of the dice from Froch, he had his man hurt and went all in for the BKO and got lucky. Froch is a supreme athlete, but there is absolutely no way he could of kept up that furious bull rush for another 3 rounds. GG made a fatal error in trying to punch with Froch with a ref that was on edge and looking for a stoppage win for Froch.

    If that was the case rob maccraken would tell Carl to call it quits. If camp isn't going to his plan time to quit Carl.

    Groves has more of a explosive one-punch ko power than Froch. But Froch hits harder over the 12 rounds and he has chin, mental toughness, stamina and strength over George. The question we have to ask here is, what if Froch catches Groves with a punch in the first round, imagine that :!:

    No evidence of Groves being unable to go the full 12. As much of a myth as the Haye bollocks.

    I've no idea. We've no evidence to suggest one way or the other.

    To be honest I was shocked at George's power in the Froch fight. Was it sustainable? Who knows.

    The only two facts we do have are that both times he's gone the distance he's won.

    Froch can be outboxed and Groves is more than talented enough to do it.

    But does he have the toughness & stamina to deal with Froch in 12 rounds, if Groves doesn't stop him before? I don't think so. Either Virgil Hunter or Andre Ward said this: "If you can't fight him on the inside, then you're in trouble." - Groves is not a inside fighter, his speed, footwork and upper body movements is what troubles Froch and probably will do again. Even Ward slowed down in the last rounds in their fight and his defence & inside fighting is what helped him in the last rounds v Froch, of course combined with just like in their first fight, Froch was very lazy at the start. Froch says that Groves has his full attention now, which could suggest he prepare better and be motivated at fight night. Groves doesn't have Ward's inside game or defense to cause problems for Carl Froch and this is what Groves lacks in order to convince me that he can cope with Froch in all 12 rounds. Because he is gonna get hurt and he will slow down in the championship rounds, so if Froch doesn't get caught and manages to land something on Groves he can finish him this time fair, even though i still believe that he'd finish him before the end.

    I'm looking forward to this one :deal

    This is true from what we have seen so far from Groves but prior to this fight many fans didnt see what happened in the first match coming, some like myself predicted Groves might have early success than Froch would take him out later on in the fight (bear with me as gloating is the last thing im aiming for here) but not a chance did i see Groves being so dominant for the first 6 rounds,i certainly didnt predict him to put Froch down-he surprised me and others that night.

    I thought the fight came too early for Groves in his career as he is still learning so as yet, he could add the inside game to his repertoire, he is far from the finished article within himself yet i think. Even if Groves loses, in a couple of years he will be a better fighter for it i reckon

    I'd be lying if I said I was confident but I feel Groves will fight smarter this time and box his way to a fairly wide UD.
