Am I the only one looking forward to Chisora Fury 2

Yes i'm looking forward to it and it's certainly better then the fights for the World titles, Klitschko-Leapai for the WBO/WBA/IBF belts or the Stiverne vs Arreola rematch for the WBC belt.

The first fight was far from a classic but Chisora is in much better shape now and will be a sharper more hungry boxer then the fat lump that fought Fury the first time. In a landscape where the Heavyweight division is pretty dull, Fury and Chisora are two of the best personalities and more exciting heavyweight in it so the fight will sell although i have my doubts it'd do more then 15,000 in any stadium.

Seeing as Fury is a Mancunian and has already helped sell out the M.E.N Arena(or what ever the feck it's called now) for the Haye fight, they should look at holding the rematch there as well. I don't think it would sell out but i'm sure they would get between 10-15,000 which isn't too bad.

Also the fight is important, it'll almost certainly be a final eliminator for the WBO title and possibly the WBA one too so that's a guaranteed Mandatory shot at those titles for the winner and a £1 million pound payday too.

It's okay to say you're not interested in the fight but make no mistake those same people will be tuning in to watch it when it's on.

 

We are all more looking forward to this fight than Tyson Fury is looking forward to getting back into the gym.

 

I think the numbers are dwindling and the their last performances did not really help... Plus Del boy is onto something - I also thing that a fight with Povetkin would be better for him.

 

It's not about how exciting the fight will be, it's about the timing. Both guys are top contenders and whoever loses has quite a long way back, both guys should go their own path until one can at least grab a belt

 

Don't agree with this at all, Dereck has had 4 losses (3 legit losses) and he is far from finished and has fought for a world title following his first loss to Fury and has a lot more to give. The fight would be guaranteed entertainment and would earn both guys a decent purse. Although I agree, both should wait until they have built up a bit more momentum and it is a bigger earner for both fighters.

We need to get rid of this attitue in boxing that if you lose you are done for, this is sport, you win some you lose some... it's all about how you come back from defeat that counts.

I am looking forward to it as it should be a great fight. These type of fights should be happening and are great for the sport especially for our domestic scene.
You have to wonder if Chisora wants it though after coming out with the Moscow talk after the fight. FW didn't look to happy with Chisora and i just get the feeling Chisora doesn't want the fight.
If it does go to plan then i think they could draw a decent crowd to Upton park, especially if they put a big card around it.

As for the fight itself. I can see Fury doing a hatchet job on Chisora by stopping him in 7-9 rounds. After a few scares and maybe a knockdown, Fury would be over Chisora like a rash and would overwhelm and stop in the second half of the fight.

 

Agree Ryan, I think fury would be rightfully the favourite but cant see him overwhelming Chisora at any point really.

 

This is a very interesting fight and you would be foolish to think it is not.If Fury can dispose of Chisora easily and remember Del gave Klit a lot of trouble there may be an interesting form line.I think Del wins this time by the way.
