Floyd will have to be more active against Maidana if he wants to win the fight...Floyd has shown against Canelo and even Cotto that he can be aggressive when need be. He can stand in the pocket and lands against Maidana...something Broner wasn't able to do...plus Floyd is physically a stronger guy than Broner I feel...won't be pushed around against Maidana like Broner was.

I partly agree with this, especially the bit about Mayweathernot giving him a fight until he's earned it.But I think Khan thinks he can get it on his reputation, which is a good one.But I don't think he's the boxer he was.
I think Amir knows his days are numbered. But I don't think hell tackle a top fighter unless its Mayweather, which represents the most money,or Brook, the second.I think hell avoid Garcia like the plague and wouldn't box Broner either.

    Floyd's style stifles offense.

He will reduce Maidana's output after the first few rounds... and that is if Maidana can get the engine rolling early.

When was the last fight you would say that Floyd was "running" for much of it?

I see it being similar to the Ricky Hatton Fight. If the ref lets it get rough on the inside it could be interesting but Floyd could actually get a ko in this one.

    Here is why:

1- If Marcos Maidana cannot land anything significant on Devon Alexander, then what hope does he have against Floyd Mayweather?

2- Even if Maidana could hit Mayweather, hard right on the button, it ain't knocking Mayweather out because Mayweather has at least a good chin, and Maidana's power is massively overatted. People act like he's got the power of a modern day Marvin Hagler- get real. He doesn't have one punch knock out power, he's a brawler.

3- Maidana is not a good finisher. A finsiher would've KO'd glass jawed Khan, TKO'd one eyed Morales, and even though Broner would've been knocked out if he didn't cheat in the 8th, there was ample opportunity to get him out of there. If shot but still fast Shane Mosley cannot get Mayweather out of there when he had him rocked, then slow plodder Maidana cannot either.

That is why Maidana is more of a joke of a fight than even Khan. At least Khan might close 1 round. Maidana will lose all 12 by a mile. And for those saying Maidana 'deserves' it more- why? Let's ignore for now that Khan has already beaten Maidana.

Because he beat hype job Broner? Whoope-de-doo. So did Quintero, De Leon and Paulie. Do they deserve it too? The last guy that Khan beat, Julio Diaz, is far better than Broner.

Need proof? The first Shawn Porter fight with Julio Diaz, Diaz was robbed, meaning they are one a piece:

    Broner > Maidana> Alexander > Porter = Diaz > Khan :deal

It's true what you say. Mayweather vs Maidana has a landslide points victory for TMT stamped all over it. People on here act like Money May has never faced one-dimensional punchers before, he has and he's dealt with them comfortably every time, this match-up wouldn't be any different. I like Maidana and he IS more 'deserving' of a shot at Mayweather than King Khan is, but fúcking hell. I'm a fan. I want to be entertained. I couldn't care less about whose more deserving. Styles make fights and while I think Mayweather deals with Khan easily, it's an infinitely more attractive fight than Mayweather vs Maidana.

I just rewatched Broner Maidana. As nice at it was to see Broner like a rabbit in headlights, I do not think Adrien will lose the rematch. Maidana has the accuracy of a drunken sailor and Floyd will make him look like a fool. I'm praying Khan gets the fight, at least he brings speed to the table which is something Floyd isn't a veteran in dealing with.

    They're both not great options.

    but:

    1) Maidana has at least fought at 147
    2) Maidana has at least had some victories at 147
    3) Maidana didn't look like garbage mixed with sh*t in his last (couple of?) fights
    4) boxing math doesn't work, that's always a weak argument.

Maidana deserves it more as of right now, that was a different story a couple of years ago, but as of right now if it absolutely has to be between either Maidana or Khan, it should be Maidana.
