In adversary Eubank often took it to another level. Big strong Europeans in particular brought the best out of him. I see him going to Copenhagen strutting down to ringside antagonizing the Danes, before giving Kessler boxing lesson for a dozen rounds.
you need to lay off TBooze :roflatsch oops wrong subforum yeah i got Chris struttin his way to a dominant victory too. Kessler hit real hard, but nothing that would trouble Eubanks. A prime Chris mind you. The one that fought Calzaghe would have been battered
Danish fans loved Chris Eubank. The best way for him to antagonize Danish fans would be not to strut Down to ringside in his usual style. Regarding the fight - both Guys prefered to box from the outside - and I think Kessler is slightly better than Eubank. A close 12 round decision for Kessler.
Would be a very competitive fight going to the cards. One of Eubank's assets was controlling the pace of a fight and it's only among the elite that he'd fail to utilise this with. I see Chris winning by two or three points for this reason.
Close fight, I would favor the Viking Mikkel on points, both guys have reliable jaws so I don't see anyone getting stopped.. Tough close fight both guys are gonna feel a lot of pain..
I see Eubank winning every minute of every round unless he decides to take minutes or rounds off. You have a come-forward, hands-up, straight-punching, one-paced guy in Kessler coming up against a side-to-side, back-foot, counter-punching, unpredictable ring general in Eubank. Kessler was quite square and rigid, and Eubank could land a jab to the body from six foot across the ring and pull out of harms way, as well as able to land right uppercuts from any position and right hands from the shortest distance, countering Mikkel's retaliations. I've heard Eubank was nearly as big as Ali and Tyson in Scandinavia and one of Kessler's idols.
I voted for Kessler (accidentally) but I'm not really sure who would have won. It's very hard to predict how the fight would go as Eubank had very unique style that not many (if any) boxers could emulate.
He was popular in Denmark. My uncle trained at AB Boxing Club and everybody there had their own Eubank-imitation. It was funny to watch. I´ve seen many tapes with Eubank and he was something speciel. But I think Kessler would have beaten him.
MK far too predictable for awkward CE and CE far too unpredictable for basic MK. The way to beat Eubank is either move away from him constantly or stay on top of him, because when you stand with him he's too slick and rangey with the step-shots and double jabs, and if you constantly move towards him without staying all over him he's too sharp a counter-puncher! Kessler kind of just fights one way.
