A average card on paper

These cards normally produce the more exciting fights. Most fights were evenly matched the only exception being Luke Campbell but that's to be expected at this stage.

 

This. An evenly matched domestic fight is far more entertaining than a showcase fight for a prospect vs a no-hoper.

 

I never watched the Hull bill last night as i watched "The bashes" show on Boxnation instead which was a good show itself.

I'll watch the action from Hull today as i heard it was 'action packed' with the usual deplorable commentary, mismatches, bad decisions and misconduct from the referee in a typical Hearn Sky show :good

I suppose it's good entertainment for a low budget show

i was at it and honestly the atmosphere was electric , a bit of a local fairytale

but jesus the Luke Campbell farce continues , due respect to the lad he fought but its all about keeping the 0 for Campbell it seems

fantastic show far and away the best show of the year so far be suprised if anything tops that.

As said those domestic 50 50 fight cards are often the best, the worst type of card is when Eddie saids "Joshua, Campbell, Brook having a ten rounder, Quigg defending his title, all on the bill" thats when i know that bill will be shocking, of course the best bill will be one with close domestic fights then topped by a 50/ 50 world title fight shame the Burns undercard isn't great if that had last night as it's undercard it would be bill of the year.

 

The Hamilton-Woodhouse and the Coyle-Brizuela fights were really good fights and the atmosphere was great.

I thought Hamilton won the fight clearly though. Some rounds were close, but i had Hamilton up by four rounds at the end.
I just cant see how Hamilton being the champion should have lost that fight. A draw at the worst maybe? :-(

Don't get me wrong i thought it was great performance from Woodhouse, but Hamilton did more than enough to keep his title IMO.

 

watching it live i thought Woodhouse won the early rounds and late ones.when i heard split decision i thought straight away it was going to be a draw....Coyle fight was insane

i have not seen mcdonnell fight again,at the time i thought the other kid was on top????
