if he fought alexander and lost which i expected him to do then he would never have been in with a shot of the big payday against floyd.

Boxing really has turned into a whining contest. There is Sooooooooooooooo much whining in the sport right now. It's nauseating.

Replace every reference to Team Khan with Team Mayweather, and that's exactly what happened.

Khan wasn't shelved because his own team was worried about him getting beat again, he was shelved because Mayweather knows a Khan fight makes much more money for him than other guys (like Alexander or Thurman) for an easier nights work.

Khan was strung along to make sure an upset didn't happen. As long as Floyd and Amir were "negotiating", there was no risk of a less popular fighter stepping in and blowing that payday.

Amir didn't deserve the Floyd fight in the first place, but it's still not right for Floyd to waste the guy's time like that.

The public's responding much worse than expected at the prospect of the fight. Mayweather's team couldn't even rig a poll on his site without people complaining about Khan winning.

Thus, the backtracking. Khan gets left at the altar, and Maidana gets the shot. Floyd's an excellent businessman- he's too smart to ignore all the backlash, and it's better to dick Khan over than to risk his own PPV numbers.

Maybe Khan should put more effort establishing himself as a welter than wanking on Skype
