Maidana might be all wrong for a 37 Year Old Floyd.

I was up thinking about it, and talking about it with one of my friends. And Maidana could be just what Floyd doesn't need right now. There's a difference between "smart pressure" and all out relentless pressure. Especially a guy with heavy hands like Maidana. If Maidana does come out there and crowds him for all of the fight. Floyd will get hit eventually. And while I know he can take a punch. He is getting up there. I'm curious as to how he'll look at 37. I know he looked good against Guerrero and Canelo, but age is a tricky thing. It can often just creep up on a fight unexpectedly. And If he's lacking in any area come May 3rd. He could be in for a long night.

    thoughts?

Y'all know Im a Money supporter, but 37 is 37. And the way that he fights, there are times where a punch misses by just a hair. It's not that far off to say that he could get caught.

Im not saying hes gonna lose. Thats not gonna happen. But he could be in for a long night.

maidana will get discouraged after he keeps getting tagged in between all that wild **** he throws....and he will stop throwing caution to the wind and wont have the confidence to land without getting hit himself.......happens to all of floyds opponents - their punch output decreases whilst his increases. only exception is jose luis castillo.

You aint gotta tell me that. I've been watching Floyd since 2001. What I'm saying that if theres any fight that it would be the wrong time for Floyd's age to catch up with him, it's this one.

fighters getting old overnight is the most overused adage in boxing.

fighters get old in training camp in the gym.

I hope so, but i doubt it. Maidana has my full support though even though i actually admire Floyd and his talents.

Maidana will A: Gas like he always does. B: Get frustrated from trying repeatedly to load up and hit Floyd without success. C. Because of A and B, he will probably get stopped late by walking recklessly into a counter shot he never sees or get dropped from exhaustion unable to get up...

Marcos is fun to watch, but he has no sense of pace and is all power all the time and needs to take breaks to regain just enough energy to throw as hard as he can each round. If Floyd goes after him when he inevitably tires he could get Marcos out of there.
Mayweather ought to be at least a 10-1 favorite if not more. This is a mis-match of epic proportions. However, it's boxing, I will watch for the less then half of a percent chance that Floyd loses..
