If Tommy moves upto LWW as mentioned in various interviews last night I wouldn't be surprised to see Woodhouse go back on his retirement plans and defend his title against Tommy in Hull. Who would win? Chances of this happening?
if your auntie had bollocks to be fair it would be a great fight and pay day for 2 cracking domestic boxers
Don't care about my auntie.Just hope my partner doesn't grow a pair.A while ago when Tommy was a new pro he was calling Curtis out,and there appeared to be a bit of needle, probably tongue in cheek stuff but still good banter. I actually thought this could have been Curtis last fight rather than Hamilton, with the local angle. Also was one of many who were a bit surprised and a lot chuffed at the result. Was pleased to hear Curtis say he was sticking to his decision, but Im guessing there will be pressure on him.If he was to fight again this would be great for Hull but I think its better for Coyle than for Curtis,as I think he would win.In fact,Id say an ideal next fight for Tommy but I hope on a personal level it doesn't happen. On the other hand,a great fight.
mrman,I think the chances of this happening are about 50 50.If Curtis fights again,it will be for this. But as said,I hope he doesn't.What do you think?
Woodhouse has done what he set out to do i reckon, but who wouldnt want 1 last pay day...plus you know it will be a blood and guts tear up so the fans will turn out
I think Woodhouse will retire. Hamilton might chance his arm at Euro level give the right opposition. At 35 he has nothing to lose by stepping up.
I think Woodhouse will stick to his guns and call it a day. He's done the business in two sports now, no doubt earned a good packet as a footballer and if I remember rightly I'm sure he bet on himself winning the British title just before he turned pro so he's going to absolutely tear up the bookies!
Reading several tweets and retweets by Tommy and Curtis I'm thinking this fight is looking more and more likely.
Coyle hiding from Mitchell, think he knows after Saturday Mitchell would beat him fairly comfortably. Mitchell vs Crolla could be a good one for the summer.
I hope Curtis calls it a day but this fight is the one to be made in Hull. Makes sense with the feud and Tommy going up to 140lbs.
Coyle hiding ? lol get a grip man. after Saturday night this kid proved he has got balls big enough be transported in a dumper truck ! I doubt he would duck any fight.
Fair enough but its funny he is suddenly thinking about moving up now Woodhouse is the champion... Coyles not the same level as Mitchell and I think if they fought Mitchell would really hurt him.
Tommy wouldn't duck Mitchell and would fight him tomorrow I know that for a fact however he listens to Jamie and respects what he says. Jamie is the one thinking about his career and thinking he might not be ready for Mitchell, not Tommy. Sometimes it takes someone else to see the bigger picture and guide a fighters career effectively. Tommy is 24, Jamie knows that he has lots to learn but lots of potential and obviously see's that Tommy needs 2 or 3 more fights to develop him and work on his weaknesses before he looks at a title eliminator with Mitchell. Tommy is in no rush to race towards a world title, he keeps slowly upping his opponents and winning then he will continue selling 1000s of tickets on his own. It keeps Eddie happy aswell as he and Campbell are the reason the Hull shows are sold out at the moment.
Coyle v Woodhouse would certainly sell in hull, the press conference could be better than the fight ! add to the mix old foes in Moore and Rhodes as the trainers ........... #entertainment
I agree with you Tommy has got plenty of time and potential and I like him a lot more now I know his brother plays for leeds Tommy shouldn't be calling out Mitchell then and telling Eddie to pick up the phone when his team knows and he deep down knows he isn't ready.
