Groves ring IQ is well over rated, sooner or late he will be dragged into a war he cant win....Froch late stoppage
You might be right but I also think Froch's ability to eventually catch, wear down and KO everyone is being over rated as well. This fight could go either way.
I agree im not one of these mad man who think its a one horse race, its a close call with groves a slight fav
Froch to be knocked down in both rounds 1 & 2 and then put down to stay in the 3rd, and he will look all of his 37 years, and the new!
I like to think that there is a middle ground between giving them knives, and stopping fights after only a couple of knockdowns, when the fighter isn't that badly hurt.
They need to bring in one of the best refs around, Tony Weeks, Smoger, Bayless, top guys who have bundles of experience and the right temperament. This fight needs a strong ref, any rabbit punching, instant warning, if it's repeated point straight off, same for hitting on the break. What is needed is a ref that's not afraid to deduct points because of the fighters arguing, or potential criticism from trainers promoters etc, do what's best for the fight, unlike Foster who never took a point off despite Froch's dirt tactics all throughout
British people besides Lennox - who isn't full British - can't box since the days of Turpin. That includes padded record Calzaghe who robbed Hopkins, padded record Hamed, padded record Eubank and Benn who ducked Toney, padded record Hatton who got viciously knocked out against the ONLY legit opponents he ever fought, etc.
Nobody wants a horrible incident but it can happen in any fight. I don't think it is more or less likes to happen in this one than any other. Lets all just hope nothing goes wrong as we do every fight. I think it's going to be another good fight. Very much 50/50 really hard to pick a winner.
