i hope so....i want nothing but the best 4 andrezj....hopefully he has learned from the past, theres nothing u can do about the past, other than learn from it and use that knowledge in the future, he is experienced, golota has fought anyone and everyone, every fight u learn something, every fight is an experience, after u win or lose a fight, there is always room for improvment, and there is always something that u learn or pick up in every fight, that helps "build" you, trust me, EVERY fight, every experience

and i love the way g-man fought against mollo, he left it all in the ring that night, i was proud of him, he put all his heart and soul into it, he fought like a gladiator


as far as skill/technique...yup ur right, golota is pretty well schooled, not perfect though, he could work on a few things but who is perfect..........the goal should b to strive for perfection even though it will never happen

Vitali is running for office, but plans to take the Peter fight, regardless of the outcome. So they have an opponent lined up. Sept. Oct is 5 to 6 month wait from now, but that's nothing unusual for heavyweights. I'd rather see a fight sooner, but if Peter wants to make his biggest payday to date, he'll wait.

If the supposed Peter Golota fight is mere specualtion, and there are no reports of it being considered, I was getting my hopes up for nothing.........Oh well. It would be a good fight to see, but it looks as though Peter is going to wait on the bigger payday, seeing as how we've not heard anything further.

When is Golota fighting next?

Why is his next fight taking so long to get made?!

 

I must say, this is starting to get a tad discouraging. It has been nearly 6 months since Golota took Mollo to school and still there is no word on who or when Golota will fight next, only talk and speculation. :think

You see, I didn't know that Peter Golota was being considered. I thought it was mere speculation.

Good to hear the fight is a possibility, then.:good

If this fight did happen (let's hope it does), I think Golota would give Peter all he could handle. It would probably be a pick em fight, as far as my take on it.

 

A Golota-Peter bout would be quite indriguing, but also highly critisized, as most boxing observers do not believe Golota deserves to be anywhere near yet ANOTHER title match, especially after getting blown out by Brewster. Beating Bates, McBride and then a young up and comer in Mollo was a great start in getting himself into position for a title, but he needs to beat somebody at least in the top 15. Meehan, Rahman, Ruiz or Briggs would be excellent for his comeback resume and King will do the rest. Of course if he can land a match with Peter before hand, so be it. :hat

 

I agree, he does need to beat someone a bit more credible than Mollo and McBride in order to get a chance at what many see as the most prestigious of the four titles, the WBC.

I can see him getting a titleshot with Brewster, after having lost his Ruiz fight, cause the Ruiz fight was a decision loss that was pretty close. The same for the Byrd loss. The Byrd and Ruiz losses didn't cause Golota to lose much ranking or marketability, cause he was not beaten but only closely on points. But the Brewster losss was another matter, entirely, and he certainly should have to rebuild a bit more after that decisive blowout.

I would also like to see Briggs Golota, then the winner get a chance at the Vitali Peter winner early next year. Golota Briggs is a chance to get back in the mix for the winner, but its also a risk for each fighter, cause it could go either way. Not sure if Briggs would take that risk, even though he says he would.

Who knows, though. Its all speculation til we hear more from Joe Cool.

 

Briggs-Golota would be awesome, but don't count on Sha-na-nay to ever sign the contract. :-(

Mollo was ranked top ten and I think McBride was too. Golota beat Byrd and Ruiz. The fight against Brewster was a jerk off. Brewster beat Wlad and look what happened in the rematch. Golota would bang him around if they fought again. I bet King is talking money with Peter as we speak. If the price is right, who knows?
