I give him credit no doubt but it was a poor decision. He may or may not win this fight tonight (if so, most likely by robbery) but his stock already went down a lot. I don't think it was worth it even if the judges gift him a W.

He's just looking out of his depth.

Lomachenko is jabbing and sliding in, grinding his right shoulder into Salido and resting. Salido bangs the body as Lomachenko backs out. Salido pumps a watch-the-birdie left jab up in the air and leans down to get to the real meat & potatoes of what he's after, digging in short hooking body shots. Lomachenko is grabbing where he can and otherwise scooting away from Salido, taking grazing body shots and scared to counter.
