Lomachenko was clinching 10+ times per round, no point deduction.

Apparently, they threw the rule book out the window because it was a "pro fight".

In boxe, often you have to fight your opponent and also the referee and the judges.

Lomachenko shouldn't have given Salido home advantage and the opportunity to have his own private referee.

And when a fighter hits you low, you have just one option, and it's not to fight clean.
Punch his testicles outta his mouth.

If a fighter headbutts you, headbutts him back or low blow him.

If a fighter elbows you, stick your elbows in his eyeballs until he's blind.

Boxe is the most corrupt sport out there, since decades, since it's very beginning.

You can't planning about fighting clean at all costs, or you're lost.

Americans have a motto, that states: "son, if you ain't cheatin', you ain't even tryin'!".

Like it or not, for disgusting that is, this is boxing.

Lomachenko is too naive and not mean enough.

Lomachenko will learn from this and I am sure next time he will come prepared and expect dirty tactics from other boxers.

I didn't understand why he wasn't deducted a point by the 7th or 8th round. he received a SECOND warning around the 5th round for holding too much, continued to employ that tactic for the next few rounds and he never had a point deduction.

I'm glad the referee just let it go I guess, he didn't want to deduct points from either fighter and take away from the fight itself. But Loma better learn how to use his feet a little bit more than just clenching everytime he's inside the pocket. Salido is a tough customer, but there's many tougher guys that know how to fight much better than Orlando inside the pocket and while they're being held.

back to the drawing board for Loma. Maybe he can consider going the conventional route and fighting on someones undercard against a fighter with a .500 record.

And hopefully Arum learned a lesson from his poor matchmaking decisions. Hopefully he won't throw Shiming into the lions den too early, otherwise he'll have 2 disappointing amateur stalwarts in his stable.

Kind of hard to take away a point when he is fighting against a more experience fighter who is 2 divisions heavier, who is fighting in his backyard, who continuously came in head first, and who landed enough low blows to disqualify him at least three times. I can go thru a whole night of boxing without watching so many low blows.

I bet in a fair fight he wouldn't hold as much. And I am not even a fan. As a matter of fact, first time I watch him fight.

Clinching - how else do you control a fighter when they're coming in with their head and swinging below the belt?
