I actually had to turn the sound off after about 7 rounds,he gave Crawford no credit, the guy fights Burns in his hometown in front of 10 thousand fans and pretty much wins nearly every round and all Jim can say is he isnt impressed, hes nothing special and the Burns of two years ago would have beaten him,Watt and Sky are a joke..

Watt's a clown but he would have beat guy's on Crawfords level back in his day. There's nothing wrong with him stating his opinion that Crawfords nothing special since he beat guy's like Howard Davis Jr, Charlie Nash and Sean O'grady and went 15 rounds with the great Alexis Arguelo. I think he's more than qualified to judge a fighters talent levels and has a right to his opinion.
In saying that he is an irritating **** to listen to and I usually put the volume down.

He ruins every fight and his co-commentator talks way to much. Both really annoying.

Jim kept saying that Crawford wasnt that good...then what does that say about the current version of Burns? Crawford won fairly comfortable, without really having to go into top gear.
still like it when Jim shouts ....argh good shot :D

Listening to "There's something not right with Burns here" and "Crawford isn't anything special" ten times a round was painful. It actually drove me to switch over to Abraham-Stieglitz, which turned out to be much more entertaining.

Lets be honest,it was nothing to do with him not thinking Crawford isnt that good,it was the fact that a scotish boxer was getting schooled,do you think if that was a British fighter winning nearly every round against an American in his backyard he would be saying the british fighter is nothing special,he would be nearly spunking in his pants..

The thing that annoyed me the most was the "Crawford is not as good as we were led to believe" line.

Why were you led to believe anything Jim? You are a commentator, isn't it your job to watch film and research a boxer who's fight you are going to call. It's not like clips of Crawford are hard to come by. The fact he had obviously never seen one of the consensus top lightweights in the world before actually sitting down and calling his fight pretty much sums up why he should not be there commentating any more.

Not remotely a typical Jock, typical _ucken nuisance yes, but Jock no.

as much as I like Ricky and dislike Watt, Watt fought better fighters and in a superior time, yes Billy, Watt would have beat the likes of Crawford and fought him every step of the way too.

I didn't think Crawford looked anything speical Billy.

Watt ruins every fight for me by going on and on about the same thing. Does my head in.

To call him a **** though is out of order.

He is one of the nicest guys in Boxing I've met.

    Just cannot tolerate his commentary.

I know, imagine a young British fighter going to America in his 23 fight and schooling the champion, especially when people on here jizz there pants over Cazlaghe going to America in his 45th fight and barely scraping past a 43 year-old. Jim Watt was pretty annoying. British fighters often get over due credit for mediocrity tbh (mainly staying at home and building up unbeaten records by fighting nobodies), Crawford deserves his dues, he did something that to many British fighters, for what ever reason, seem to lack the mentality to do.
