Yes it will. It would sell out on it's own but get Khan/Brook on the undercard and the tickets will be gone in minutes. In fact get Kelly Brook as a ring girl and it will sell in minutes.

Yeah that would be interesting if they can get Khan and Brook on the under ..The hell with Broner fighting in front of 80 k would be better than the small audience the MGM grand holds .

The historical significance of this event is somewhere in between World War I and World War II.

Yes, it will be a sell-out.

And I'd imagine it will do a power of PPVs on Sky.

Anyone remember how much it was for the last fight, was it £15?

I'm not sure if this will sell out. Much will depend on the undercard and promotion. It will be a massive event that will get a lot of media.

Wembley isn't 80k it's 90k for football but they add an extra 15k standing for music concerts. Boxing capacity must be in the region of 100k, maybe slightly less.

You're talking about a boxing event the entire country will be interested in seeing.

Ricky Burns can sell 10,000 tickets in Glasgow at the drop of a hat, and Glasgow is about 1/30 the size of London.

I think it will be a sell out.

The last fight's 19,000 tickets sold out in 10 minutes. There's definitely more interest this time around.

@LordSouness - I hope you're right. Interestingly since I wrote my last post I was reading an article about the fight from the BBC. It said "Wembley holds 90,000, although a crowd of 60-70,000 is more realistic." so they also doubt a sell out.

It also listed British boxing's highest attendances since World War 2 as a comparison.

Ricky Hatton v Juan Lazcano, 2008 - City of Manchester Stadium, 55,000
Joe Calzaghe v Mikkel Kessler, 2007 - Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, 50,000
Bruce Wood**** v Lee Savold, 1950 - White City Stadium, 50,000 (approx)
Freddie Mills v Bruce Wood****, 1949 - White City Stadium, 50,000 (approx)
Chris Eubank v Nigel Benn, 1993 - Manchester United's Old Trafford ground, 42,000

If Wembley can hold near 100k then we are talking about almost doubling the old records.:happy
