To be honest dont be shocked if the wbc strip Bika of his title due to politics based on the Top Rank , GB and HBO war

Chavez is probably going straight to a fight with GGG, so maybe DeGale can fight Bika in the mean time? Also not 100% sure but isn't Bika with GBP? Chavez Jr is with TR so wouldn't work if that's the case

not sure GGG will fight for a bit due to the passing of his dad, that may be why chavez got given the madatory spot

You're right, Bika wins and he has fulfilled his mandatory, so the Degale fight wouldn't be in september, and if Chavez Jr wins he wont be forced to take a mandatory straight off, he has to much power with the WBC for that, especially with big money fights on offer...

Either way looks like another frustrating year for Degale unfortunately, I would say his best hope may well be for Groves to beat Froch and go for that rematch, It's another all British fight which I think could happen tbh.

Groves went into the Froch fight unbeaten with a big win over Degale, so not sure how he had a better record than Groves?? Neither guy fought anyone of any real quality except each other where Groves got the nod.

:patsch Groves was unbeaten and had wins over Johnson Degale himself Gonzeles, Sierra, and ko win over Paul Smith seven rounds quicker then Chunky!

Degale's best win at the time was Dylah Davies or Wilzeceskwi

    *******s.

I don't like Degale but he has earned that shot.

Will Bika even take the Degale fight if the GGG-Chavez fight gets made. I doubt it, ain't worth risking that future pay day.

Beating a fighter quicker than some else doesn't mean you derseve a shot more.

Yes, DeGale has been fed tomato cans, but this sucks. He did what he had to and earned his shot at Bika.

Chavez is always gifted belts by the WBC, and after only 1 legit fight at SMW!
    Boxing politics at its worst.

Chavez gets whatever he wants...............the ref, judges, boxing commission, etc. Wonder if he will have Laurence Cole in his corner?

Not clear that Top Rank will want to do purse bids with Golden Boy when they are at a disadvantage with the purse split. Are they going to let Chavez Jr. fight on a GB card?

My guess is that they go in a different direction. Degale can still get it.
