Why is Angulo a +500 underdog against Canelo?

I don't talk people off of long shots (even though this really doesn't qualify)anymore because, much like handicapping horse races, long shots will eventually hit. Just be careful. Angulo is a good guy and he undoubtedly won a bunch of fans from the 1st episode of All Access, but I honestly believe that he should be a bigger dog than he currently is.

It's a bad idea to include Lara and Trout examples in this fight. The skills Angulo used against Lara will be redundant vs Canelo. I wrote a preview to this fight explaining why I think this is. Would be worth reading before you bet on Angulo. I may be wrong but the analysis is there.

 

I agree. Canelo's counters will be key and he does have great accuracy. People don't think Canelo's powerful anymore though? Also on Angulo's power, he knocked Lara down twice but didn't stop him and he's much smaller. Couldn't hurt Silva either who was a smaller man. Don't know why everyone is worried about his 'powerr' hurting Canelo who is probably a little bigger that Angulo.

The Rosado stoppage was a bit of a quick call by the ref. Lara is much smaller too and he couldnt get the stoppage. I think Canelo is actually the stronger guy here. Angulo having to pick on someone his own size here. Careful with the bet on Rosado!! I wrote an article analyzing why I think Canelo is a lock this fight. Might be worth a read , and if you think I'm wrong after that we'll just have to see come fight night.

 

I have to agree with Son of Gaul. I think Angulo has been promoted VERY well and so people are overrating him. Canelo is being underrated b/c of loss to Mayweather and poor performance v Trout but their styles are bad for Canelo. Angulo on the other hand. A style that can make Canelo look like a world beater again. I explained this in detail in my article. Might be worth a 5min investment to read it before you risk $500 (!!!!)

got 50 to win 240 on angulo. was hesitant for a second, the odds were +600 yesterday a.m, when i placed the bet around 8pm ,odds were at +450. these odds are crazy i won 275 off 50 i put on salido the other night
