What percentage would you give Pac beating Canelo 154?

Some would say it's worthy of discussing since he won a title in the weight class (150 lbs).

I think there's a reason why Pac has only fought once above WW in what should have been an unsanctioned sparring session against a known cheater whose only good talent is being able to eat punches at will (unless said punches come from a "shot to ****" Mosley, in which case he falls).

But hey. He fought at JMW while still in his career best winning streak and at his peak of earning power. Why did he never face a top 10 JMW, let alone a top 25 JMW?

 

70% Pac UD or late TKO

 

Prime Pac is quite underrated h2h in general imo.
I can't envision Canelo touching the Pac of the Cotto(e)-fight, he was blindingly fast and relentless.

The more I think about the more I think Pac has a shot.

If Manny can savage Margarito at 165 without losing a single round, why couldn't he garner a victory against Canelo at 170ish?

 

How about the 150 pounds catchweight for the vacant WBC Light Middleweight Title for Alvarez vs Matthew Hatton?

Alvarez came in overweight 151.8 pounds and while Matthew Hatton was moving up in weight and has never fought above welterweight (147 pounds) :deal

 

I would say that he has a 40-50% chance. ESB loves to treat Pac as the under dog like before he fought Hatton, cotto, marg, and odlh. Canelo is huge but I think Pac's speed would bother him.

 

3 or 4 years ago Pac was a lot better. I'd have given him an 80% chance, especially after the way he dealt with Cotto, Margarito, and De La Hoya. Now, it might only be 50%
