If Mitchell wins Burns is bang on for the winner Eddie loves an all British fight.

I don't think there would be many Burns fans, including myself, who'd want him to fight Vasquez. Boring fighter who I think would beat any lightweight in a wide points decision. Also Eddie has delivered 3 world title fights for Burns in the space of a year.

Really? I hope Mitchell would smash him but he's a tricky bugger. Shafikov couldn't touch him, he's so frustrating to watch comes in and holds far too much so was surprised Eddie would want this on.

Yea but after the criticism he's received (which i think is unfair tbh) the last thing he needs is Vazquez.

Not seen much of Vazquez but from what I have seen he didn't entertain me and I wouldn't want to see Ricky in with him but I do think WBC champ Omar Figueroa is a very winnable fight for Ricky.

Yeah I don't really rate him as a world champion, id like to see one of burns previous opponents fight vasquez, beltran or gonzales would beat vasquez handily, but I'm not sure mitchell is ready for him yet, as beatable as he is.

Aye, Eddie is probably just trying to get this fight on so he can say theres two world title fights on the card.....the fact Hearn was saying Coyle would be his next opponent. This is a step up!

Vazquez is boring as feck , but in my opinion would outpoint any lightweight at the moment. But your right about Figueroa... If a was ricky and his team that's the route I'd be looking at

Beltran wouldn't get near him mate, Vasquez may not be entertaining but he's very effective

Mitchell won't win, but even if he did Burns needs to work his way back into contention. He's been awful for 3 fights in a row.
