He did and thats why it f**ks me off with Foster as we will never know.

    1) he smashes him and KO's him
    2) He gases himself and GG comes back into the fight

Howard foster ruined a fight that could have been one of the best fights of all time in uk

Where he's been battered for 9 rounds before his first real bit of success? No I haven't.

Can you tell me what fight that has occurred in so I can rewatch it?

Stamina and Chinny. Poor mans observations.

How do we know George wouldnt come back in 10/11/12? seemed fine in the distance against Degale (winning 10/12 on my card) and Johnson.

He has been dropped once by Anderson. Froch been dropped twice.

Froch said he was landing at will in 9th round - but did Geroge get dropped?

His stamina and chin are absolutely fine. If anything worries me about Groves its that he can be hurt to the body like he was against Sierra (watch from 24.00)

No way Froch beats him in the rematch though. And the new... :happy

Gets hit by a killer body shot, which had Sierra's full weight behind it, goes for a walk and is then firing back hard shots within seconds. Nothing much to see here.

Its all about the body....no question. If Carl lands his power shots to the body GG is going to gas in round 8 or 9 again.

Problem is Froch has to last till round 8 or 9. He can not take another 30 right hands to the head agian

Its not that bad but Froch has better stamina or at least performs well in the latter rounds of fights, if this goes past 6 or 7 and Froch is still there then as a Groves fan you would have to have a slight worry. I still say Its either Groves early to mid or Froch late in this fight, It won't go the distance.

Difficult to gauge right now, I'd say. His stamina maybe looked a shade questionable next to Froch's, but then again, everyone's does. Even Ward had to take a few breathers and play it a little safer in the last three rounds against Froch, albeit he was never in anything even approaching trouble.

If I had to make a judgement outright, I'd say that his stamina seems alright in itself, but not really outstanding, so he could do with learning to pace himself just a little bit better. I was speaking to Jamie Moore a few weeks back and he said the same kind of thing applies to Macklin; gets lumped in to the 'poor stamina' bracket, when in reality it's just that he puts his foot down too early.

I think a bigger problem is Groves' lack of compsure when he's hit. His chin isn't awful, more adequate. But he lets the red mist descend way too easily and, despite the fact that it was still a poor stoppage, he was doing the same against Froch. Trying to fight fire with fire and forgetting his gameplan when he got tagged, brawling back when he should have been trying to tie up, get on his bike to kill time etc.

Very difficult to train someone's natural instincts out of them. I'm expecting him to outbox Froch on May 31, but even if he does it for 11 rounds, I won't be counting any chickens until the final bell goes, because when someone has that kind of instinct and inability to fight it, nothing is ever sure.

I'd Agree, people saying GG ring IQ is world class needs to have a reality check.

Ward had Froch punching air for most of the fight.
Ward was moving and countering, so Froch was having to chase him.
Ward was tying Froch up on the inside, and leaning all over him (Ward would have outweighed Froch by 10 or 12 pounds) every time he wanted a breather.
What little success Froch had was in the last 3 rounds, where he looked the less tired of the two.

    Next Question...........

If you think Ward gave Carl the same sort of beating that George did you are mad.

Froch was battered, dropped and completely outclassed by Jermaine Taylor before hitting the jackpot in the last few seconds of the last round.

Froch was outclassed and made to look a mug who resorted to hitting on the break and rabbit punching against Andre Dirrell.
