Just finished watching Bellew - Brudov....despite the very late KO, I didn't think Bellew looks to have a big future at 200lbs - OTOH he was never going to be much more successful than he already was at 175. Is a move to Cruiser a mistake or, (as I believe) a necessity given he'd been struggling to make 175 for his entire career? Where does he go from here? Brudov is really a never was, and yet was able to hurt him...I can't see Bellew having success against anyone at the top ten.
Bellew is gonna do **** all at Cruiserweight with that glass chin of his. He should become an honory American it's that bad.
His shots did have power in them, he should be able to beat Cleverly but Huck would be too much as things stand at the moment. Tony needs a proper strength and conditioning coach to get him comfortable at the new weight.
Bellew was a heavyweight as an amateur, he used to knock out other heavyweights wearing headgear while wearing bigger gloves. Amateur career was 40 wins 7 losses, with 32 wins coming by way of Stoppage. At LHW Bellew's didn't look to have that sort of devastating power especially in his last few fights at 175. Cleverly has a decent chin but Bellew's flush shots had no affect on him, at Cruiserweight I expect him to have better power, but his chin would also have to take bigger shots.
