Danny Garcia Set to Fight Mauricio Herrera March 15th!

I'm interested in this fight. Herrera is not some joke. As the king of the division, allegedly, you want to see Garcia fight the top guys, and Herrera is not that, but its still interesting because Danny is still a bit green and Herrera is an old pro who has never been knocked out, and although he has had some weaker performances he gave us a helluva show vs Alvarado.

Garcia.....
....had lost first two rounds to Khan before he caught him.
....only managed an SD vs Kendall Holt.
....only managed an SD vs Theophane
....Zab Judah was coming on in the championship rounds.
....a lot of people believe the Matthyse victory was severely marred by holding and low blows on the part of Garcia. Matthyse also suffered a severe cut.

I am only playing devil's advocate here and don't mean to take anything away from Garcia who has accomplished quite a lot. However, when you look at all of that, I think it makes Herrera an interesting long shot spoiler opponent building up to a Nate Campbell rematch and then Emmanuel Augustus on PPV sometime late this year......

 

im down for this fight. first of danny is my boy. n after a career defining win n such a brutal fight this fight is ok. danny took many shots from lucas. shots that wouda decapitated most other top 10 140 fighters.

why do u think mike perez looked so bad??? after that fight vs mago that took sumthing outta him. if he woulda took a longer layoff n a tune up after it woulda been the smart move.

the mago fight was more brutal then lucas/danny fight still both were brutal. n herrera is a good fighter ne ways. and after he fights herrera hes gunna be right back on his way to tuff fight vs top 10 guys.

 

Garcia will do whatever he wants with Herrera, but it's still a decent fight and should be fun to watch.
