So Kevin will fight for the ibf title next, I've seen Vasquez fight only once and he looks hard as nails! They have both beaten Prescott on points.

How do you see this fight going? I reckon Vasquez stops Kevin late.

Not sure about a stoppage, Vazquez is problematic, awkward, hard to hit and as well schooled as you could possibly be. He isn't very aggressive however. I've rated Vazquez the number one lightweight on the planet for quite a while now. I did ,though, think Denis Shafikov might have been able to draw Vazquez out of his shell and into a fight but Miguel just neutralised him with ease.

Unfortunately for Kevin I don't think Miguel will let himself be drawn into a scrap, which may be his only chance. He doesn't IMO have the workrate, stamina or discipline to beat Vazquez over 12 rounds, but he may have the power to make it interesting if he can land early

Not sure about rating him number one, especially when Broner was at the weight not too long ago...

Agree with everything else however, he has far to much for Kevin Mitchell.

Easy nights work for Vazquez. Shafikov would tear Mitchell a new ring and he dismantled him. Mitchell is shocking. Ricky Burns has finished his chin for good. Vazquez by savage KO

Kevin Mitchell has no chance against Miguel Vasquez. Mitchell was getting hit repeatedly last night from that little Georgian and if it would have been anyone decent he would have been flattened.
The little guy was awkward last night, but so is Vasquez except he is ten times better.

If you think Mitchell would fight like that against Vazquez then you are daft.

Mitchell fought like that against Ricky Burns and he got KTFO.

Vasquez will school Mitchell IMO. Different levels.

Not only would he have beaten Broner but his lightweight resume is far more stacked, I never saw Demarco as being the number one lightweight so I didn't rank Broner number 1 for beating him.

Vasquez could kill the atmosphere in the stadium if it's chief support, I like Vasquez but there will be a hell of a lot of casuals there who know **** about boxing.

I'm not judging if Kevin should or should not get a third shot I'm just saying he's more than capable of giving Vasquez a real good fight
