Really enjoyed Ajisafe vs Francis and this light heavyweight tournament is a good idea. I give massive credit for Mick Hennesey bringing boxing back to terrestrial tv, the Ajisafe vs Francis fight was better than the whole sky card.

Five have stepped up their game recently, and great for boxing to be back on terrestrial tv, not every potential young fan has Sky tv.

I always like Woodhall on commentary, who was the other guy, he's decent as well.

Enjoy the channel 5 shows. Sad it looks like Fury is going to have minimum 2 fights in a row not on 5.

hope they get al bernstein back , to us hardcores he made it seem more credible , hes prob my fav american commentary , richies ok but tends to favour the technical / boring fighters more than most people would , think there might be a lot more boxing on c5 if this tourney takes off and degale wins the wbc ? can i smell groves degale 2 for 3 belts on terrestrial ? lol one can dream

I think they only get Bernstein over for the bigger fights when he is free. There are cards in May and September on Channel Five.

Think you have to remember these cards cost **** all to put together which is why Channel 5 are involved. They'll never be part of a card that brings a big fight to the UK.

I hope they keep doing what they are doing, but it's not suddenly going to be the case that they are a direct rival to Sky or BoxNation.

great to see hennessy and channel 5 coming up with this imaginative idea. really liked how they built up the fight - there was a real story there with Dean Francis for the normal viewer to arouse their interest. then the fight itself surpassed my expectation - it was a little cr.acker which reinforced my view that British title fights usually give the best value for money fights in the whole sport. was all that channel 5 & hennessy could've wished for and no doubt it'll increase interest in next week's bouts.

well done - let's hope it's that start of even bigger and better things

I agree with this- the cards in terms of money cost very little to produce. I think Euro title level is as high as they can go short term. Shipping off Fury to fight on Boxnation might have saved Mick some cash to set up this tournament.
