Well regardless of the outcome of the fight and who should have won, who on earth was the commentator for the Garcia/Herrera fight?!?!?!?!?!

This dude was an absolute idiot! Is it me, or is it only in Boxing, do commentators (however biased) only see what they want to see, as opposed to what they actually see?

Or are they just that damn deluded, where they actually believe the nonsense they spew?

"Great Right hand from Garcia!" - Err.. It missed by a country mile?

"Herrera is being put under pressure." - No.. Herrera is applying the pressure.

"Five shots from Garcia. All 5 landed." - Actually, one might have landed. The others either hit thin air, or landed on the gloves... Which for the record does not count as landed.

In any other sport, even English Football Commentators (notoriously biased), still only ever narrate what they ACTUALLY see happening. Yet in Boxing, (Both Showtime and HBO are guilty of this) commentators seem to be absolute pillocks.

Morrow was probably told to hype Garcia... Paulie was the only one that kept it real throughout the fight... Bernstein was bias for Garcia at first, but at a certain point he just couldn't deny what he was seeing!

But as much as Morrow lied to himself, he still had Harrera winning

It's true. The play by play on both HBO and Showtime are really inaccurate. Maybe it's a lost art. The guys in the old days who were good at it probably all started on radio.

Strangely enough, I heard Max Kellerman do a very good play by play once, even though as an analyst he's a complete and total fuktard.

Every human being can only call things as they see it throught their own eyes. Calling a boxing match is so tough be because the action happens in split seconds. I just realize that each human, no matter how knowledgable they are, is still limited by their own two set of eyes. So I don't get upset when I hear biased commemtary.

Paulie is slowly becoming one of the best in the biz IMO. Cant stand the rest. Paulie is so good at evaluating what is going on in the ring. There are so many times I go what the **** is he seeing/talking about? And then in the slo-mo replays, boom there it is.

Just wish he'd slow the hell down.

    Just to be clear...

The UK Boxnation feed did not have Paulie M and the crew...it was some sad ass doing it on his own for the outside of US broadcast.

    Yup! That was literally it!

I have no idea who it was :S

Dude, I see your point, and sometimes people miss things.. but when you call things wrong throughout a fight CONSISTENTLY.... There's something odd going on!

Well we've summed it up nicely. Every professional commentator weather Showtime, HBO or Box Nation is a complete moron that knows nothing about boxing. The message boards know whats up though. That's for sure.......
