Adamek should never have gone up to heavyweight. He was awesome at light heavyweight and esp. at cruiserweight..............at heavyweight he did well, but really not big enough, he lost his power..................Vitali Klitschko totally destroyed him in a total mismatch..............

Sure. Two divisions world champion, epic cruiserweight and great heavyweight fighter, always fighting in size disadvantage against everyone, always spectacular and baller.

Even if there are lesser fighters than Adamek in the IBHOF, I don't like using that criteria of "oh someone else worse is in there". At the same time, lots of better fighters than Adamek are not in the Hall.

Personally I wish the IBHOF had higher standards, but it is what it is.

I do not think he should be admitted to HOF (and I am his compatriot). Still, he is quite close to the mark IMO so I do not have a problem either if he somehow gets there.

Ya Che Dom Bidwa, Of course he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Briggs 1 Briggs 2, Bell, Cunningham 1 Cunningham 2, Banks, Golota, Estrada, Arreola, Grant, McBride, Chambers, Walker and Guinn all were good boxers at one time or another. Maybe not at their prime when Adamek beat them but they all at one time were good. When he lost to Dawson he was puking for hours before the fight and still dropped him in the last round, and back then Bad Chad was in everybody's P4P Top 5, Vitali maybe All time King was to big and this Glazkov dude is good. He has nothing to be ashamed of. Of course I am biased. But thank you Tomasz for bringing us Pole Locks some good times. Your a Hall of Famer to me and that's all that matters. Light Heavy Champ, Cruiser Champ and fought for Heavy Weight Crown.. How many boxers can say that? His fan base is up there with Floyds also. Great for our beloved sport. Always took his craft seriously. Good Luck Tomasz

Here's hoping we get the all Polish HW showdown between Adamek and Kryzstof Wlod. before Adamek retires (and that is if no unifications at Cruiser are to be made for Wlod.).

hes a very good fighter, but its the Hall of FAME not the Hall of GOOD.
he was a belt holder at light heavy and cruiserweight....he won 1 of 4 straps and never unified. no one outside of jersey or Poland knows who he is

Throw in Spilzka and Wach and lets have a final 4 showdown. Who would win? Those would be tough odds to make. Wach is the biggest, Spilzka is the youngest, Tomasz is the most accomplished and Krystof is the highest ranked still fighting. Good Pole Lock showdown. We can have a parade after the fights and walk the opposite way down a one way street. Peirogi's, kielbasa and vodka for all the fans. Kathy are you listening?
This is gold Kathy,,, Gold I say.

The fact that he was ranked so highly shows how bad the heavyweight era has been.

I don't think that's fair. The heavy weights aren't as bad as you say. Losing Vitali and Tomasz and Haye wont help but there is some new blood. That Glazkov and Jennings maybe Arreola or Stiverne or Wilder or Price who knows what else come from Ukraine or Russia or USA, maybe things will get interesting.

A lot would depend on what Arreola does in his next few fights you would imagine.
