I didnt say he didnt have questionable decisions in his favor, but he clearly beat Oscar no judge could have seen that fight for Oscar without money they took.
To be fair Prowler I don't think it's a case of Sturm "couldn't" put him away so much as Sturm boxing in a cautious ...even overly cautious ...fashion most of his career. Make no mistake about it, Felix can bang a bit when it suits him. He has stopped some tough guys, and done it with either hand, and to head and body.
If Sturm can bang why couldn't he KO a blown up fat welterweight? If Oscar came in the shape he did when he fought Hopkins he would of trounced Sturm.
Read what I said again. Sturm can bang when it suits him. Unfortunately most of his career has he has been in safety first mode - which has not endeared him to fans (like you!). You dig? Or - to rephrase YOUR question: "If Sturm CANT bang - how come he stopped guys with shots from either hand - and some to the body too?" Honestly if Sturm went for Oscar in Zbik-mode or Barker-mode he would have battered Oscar all over the ring - not even particularly because he is so much BETTER than Oscar- he is just far too big and strong for Oscar. (That is meant in no way to knock Oscar at all). :thumbsup
You shouldn't have to knock sbdy out just to get the win, especially when you are the champ? atsch Clearly winning 7-8 rounds should do the trick imo... Oscar got knocked out by a bodypunch in the Hopkins-fight ffs, he was in way over his head at that weight and it showed. Sturm would've always beaten DLH, don't kid yourself.
