I don't know where you get that from, there's plenty of Derren Brown tricks that use NLP. Some of them bog standard techniques. Simple hand gestures etc.

There's also some that use some crazy ass subtle techniques that are hit or miss because they are that subtle a lot of the time it depends on the intellect or IQ of the person you're using it on and their observational skills.

To say he never uses NLP is just blatantly wrong.

He's clearly using the dark side of the force on Froch. A sith mind trick if you will.

Nothing he can except stuff his fist in his face like in round 9 last time. Groves knows he has to finsh him in the first half of the fight. Froch knows he can get to him later in the fight.

quite. i see this as an example of how gg feels he needs everything to go his way to get the w. the opposite of confidence.

    I disagree.

Groves has shown to be very confident even before the first fight. If anybody is the opposite of confident then it's Carl Froch.
Froch never wanted this fight. After the first fight Froch only talked about wanting to fight Chavez jnr in Vegas and it's only because of the huge public demand were getting this fight again. I mean the fight is happening at Wembley stadium and there was no way Froch could have went on to face another opponent because the only interest was Froch-Groves 2.

Froch never had the confidence to look Groves in the eye and now there's talk of him using a sports quack, whilst Groves had the confidence to complete the rubix cube before Froch finished his interview.
I know it doesn't mean who is going to win the fight, but these things tell you who is clearly more confident and who has there doubts.

Carl Froch is a very insecure man. He will be doubting himself right up until the first bell. He can't stand that Groves is brimming with confidence, This will definitely have an impact on the way the fight goes.

    no surprise there!

froch felt he didn't need the fight but the £ changed his mind. he gets frustrated dealing with a more articulate man at press conferences. he's been seeing a sports psychologist for years, it's useful to distinguish what they do (optimize performance) and a psychologist working with the general public to solve problems.

meanwhile gg is so confident he's employing suggestion? things went even better than to plan last time and he still couldn't get froch out of there. sure he's acting confident, i ain't so convinced.

I mean how many times have you seen Brown get someone to say a certain colour, number, name or item off what he's gesturing to them or what he's saying?

That's using NLP to perform a trick, and even if it is used to distract while he performs a more hands on trick, that's still using NLP to perform a trick.

I've listened to that back with Groves, it does sound like he's using anchoring techniques... haha Even the rubix cube could be looked at as a visual anchoring technique, wonder if he's looked into it. Well intrigued to know now.

 Carl Froch was rattled by the way Groves behaved, in the first build up to there first fight, but that's all he was (rattled)and he is dealing with it now,how he should have done in the first place. Groves is just playing games, like the Rubic cube showing,if you watch it closely the colours were set up to line up after a few moves, to make him look good,Froch is doing the right thing this time,by ignoring Groves:cool:

He's doing the exact opposite mate, still pulling the faces he wants to smash his head in whenever they are in close proximity, with the putting his tongue inside of his mouth as if it's a struggle to be anywhere near Groves. Won't go face to face with him, still doing the **** jokes he's got bad breath, and now he's reacting to the little whispers by shoving Groves.

Groves is inside that head big time.

Sadly I think Groves's chin and stamina let him down, but if he lands a bomb like he did in the first fight then he could easily come away with a KO. If he doesn't land it I expect to unravel like he did in the first fight.

see this is the bit i don't get. he landed the best punch of his life with froch squared up and didn't get the ko. although he caught froch again, froch didn't allow himself to square up and groves couldn't drop him again. so how could it be an easy ko?
