He normally waits till after a less than stellar performance before making excuse's. I used to quite like the guy, but his constant **** talk and excuse making is starting to grate.
For all we know Sergio is 100% and just talking to make this sound more evenly matched so it'll sell a little better. Even then you can get better cardio with plyo than running. Sergio's shown he prefers a variety of exercise methods, many of which will allow him to get a high level with a ton of stress to his knee.

Cotto is not going to exactly force him to go on his bike, Martinez should be able to have enough voltage on that left to deter Cotto if not stop him cold with the first punch. If he can't punch anymore, then good retirement or maybe another payday vs Canelo/Mayweather/GGG after a BS comeback win
