Well in fairness, quite a few wanted to see if Golovkin could deal with a fast handed counter puncher like Stevens, and Stevens put on a decent account of himself. Noone knew yet for sure that Kovalev was going to Krush Sillakh , plus wasnt that an undercard?

Cotto... well.. yeah, that was bad.

I see what you are saying though... I guess I half-agree. Kovalev really shouldnt be fighting a 30-1 odds guy now that people know who he is.

My beef with HBO right now is the heavy PPVs. While I think all 3 PPV fights are worthy fights... as far as I know the only legit non-PPV non-mismatch they have scheduled is JMM/Alvarado. I dont mind good PPV fights, but I have to admit it kind of looks bad when your PPV schedule outnumbers your regular calendar (of non-mismatches). :think

Yeah, but he knows he has to climb back up and probably win a belt to get that shot. The fight he realistically wants is Quillin, because it is the most make-able fight on paper at least since the fight could pack Barclays.

Which I must say would be an excellent fight to watch.

Unfortunately Haymon and Schaeffer wont let Quillin near anyone not signed. Even the guy Konecny (sp?) he is fighting next... signed him with 3 fight option even though its his retirement fight. At first I thought that was an OK fight.. then I read the interview with the guy.... its clear he has no hope and no intent of winning, he is actually still having vision problems "he hopes are cleared up before the fight".

    Its really sad.

Why is Showtime putting on an expensive PPV where Mayweather is a 10-1 favorite? I guess chumps like to watch mismatches... But since you dislike them, I guess you're not buying the Mayweather-Maidana fight, right? At least they aren't trying to pass this Kovalev mismatch off as PPV...

apparently this dude is no bum and poses stylistic problems. he apparently can box and many people, not only people from his hometown of chicago, believe he can pull it out.

GGG handles all those Brooklyn kids. Stevens, Jacobs, Quillin.

I like Kovalev. I hope he gets a big fight one day. I don't like G or his fans. Nothing personal.

Because you inbred subhuman. It's fight Agnew or nobody. Same
problem your other obsession, GGG, is having. nobody will man up.

This Euro posture has changed everything in modern boxing
I think GGG is the real deal, Kovalev, not so sure
One thing is for sure is that they are not afraid
