I see NO WAY Mayweather can KO or STOP Maidana...

He wins on points man, shotime has a investment with floyd, he will not loose until his last fight. Its a way to get him to extend his contract with shotime.

 

I pretty much agree. I can see Maidana getting knocked down, but he's tough and will get up. Only way it gets stopped is if it happens on a bad stoppage--which, unfortunately I can see happening since the fight is in Vegas. Floyd isn't going to stop Maidana with one shot or even two shots. And since when does he really open up with combinations? If he does that, he'll leave himself open to counters, and Maidana can punch.

 

uh so what and who f*ckin cares. we already know Mayweathers not going for the K.O. He just fought a big ass 154lber and stood in front of him most of the night so i sincerly doubt hes going to be extra cautious against marcos. if anything hes going to fight him in the pocket and clinch to smother his attack. hes going to box circles around maidana. I dont know why you have KO on the brain when its pretty evident may was never going to get nor try to get a ko in this fight.

 

Mayweather is going to give Maidana the Gatti special.

yeah i thought everyone was on board and it was a fore gone cinclusion that May would win this fight on points. i think mayweather has more power than people think he does. i just dont see him ever sitting down on his punches.looking back, i think he was putting some hard ass shots on mosley that wouldve knocked down or knocked out other fighters with a lesser chin than shane. shane was getting his head rocked something terrible in that fight if you recall.

 

Floyd isn't known for his ko prowress, he is a points boxer. I don't expect him to ko maidana but it could occur. Maidana could for instance clip floyd with one of those wild punches. Maidana's wildness is his best asset, when he throws a punch it comes at an unusual angulla and it is hard to predict if he is going for your head or body.

To be fair if you watch the cotto fight he sat down on alot of his punches. Cottos defence was fairly decent that night though with his high guard

 

He's not going to KO or stop him, this is going the distance 100%.

 

He does sit on many punches simply to back his opponents off and make them think twice before charging in freely thinking he has no power to force them to reconsider. The thing is he doesn't overly commit when he knows he doesn't need to which is a very intelligent way of fighting. Don't forget that he almost knocked Cotto down in the 12th with a single shot.

 

There is always a way. Any boxer can get stopped.
