its pretty clear that Lacy will probably deck Sven at least once, but wont be able to capitalise on it as it gets ruled as a slip. Sven gets handed a points win despite a close contest that he might well lose in reality. Lacy isn't good, but on neutral ground he would probably stop **** like Sven.
After seeing what joe did i think svent would have done same but not so convincingly, any way promoters would not risk it and vacant belt rather to face lacy
I think Ottke would have beat him in a competitive fight. Ottke for all the controversial decisions, dodgy refs and judges was a world class super middleweight. He was so boring he makes fighters like Wlad and Hopkins entertaining but he was good at what he did. Good movement, pretty quick hands and good timing and accuracy. He was a good spoiler who would frustrate you and ambush you with quick bursts and make you fight his fight.
One was a world class boxer and a champion with good amateur background, another one was over-hyped by the media. There you go. In all seriousness, Ottke was way past his peak, became slower and lost his reflexes by 2004, so I see it as a competitive fight that could've gone either way.
Well when you say vs Ottke in Germany he is favorite over any fighter, remember he and his team could menage referee that forbids his opponent to punch back.
Both guys are/were super overrated. Who did Ottke beat to prove himself? He beat to decent danes (Mads Larsen MD and Rudy Markussen UD) but not convincingly - even though it was in Germany. He wouldn't stand a chance against the best SMW of that time in my opninion.

Yes, Ottke had less power than a Toyota Prius (only six career kayos) but he was one heck of a smart boxer who might have been the best judge of distance from 1998 to 2004. Those who sat through his fights are impressed by instincts and footwork that allowed Ottke to beat opponents to the point of engagement and land first. Lets not forget that the one time Ottke really needed to show stopping power, hopelessly behind against Anthony Mundine, he unleashed a right hand that knocked Mundine unconscious. Still shares a division record 21 title defenses with Joe Calzaghe that is not likely to be challenged for some time, annexing the WBA title and defending it four times. Sure, there were some controversial decisions that went in his favor (heck, his title-winning effort against Charles Brewer was close) but name a champion who reigned for six years who did not have any close decisions go his way? 3rd best SMW ever. Haters gonna hate. I seen Brewer 1 and 2,Mundine,Mitchell and Reid. The Reid fight was a rip off but the others weren't that bad or rip offs despite what many people say IMO.
Ottke gets a lot of **** because of one or two very suspicious decisions, but he was a very good smw. He had great defense, good movement and very quick hands. No ko-power but great skills overall. During his am-career he beat Chris Byrd, Michael Moorer, Michalczewski, Tarver, Erdei and Juan Carlos Gomez.
Skills in running yeah. Got several gift decisions. Never fought outside his home turf. Never fought his nemesis Calzaghe. Enough said.:deal
