Maidana rematch If he wins that then Maidana again/ loses and he retires i guess Pacman would be the third fight if he wins both Maidana rematches
Yes, Maidana shocks the world May 3rd. TMT (The Maidana Team) Floyd would need to avenge the loss, and if did that there would need to be a rubber match.
Bradley Pacman winner (although highly unlikely due to TV conflicts) Keith Thurman (Providing he can step up and rip through a few decent names first) Martinez or GGG at middleweight Danny Garcia (At welterweight providing he has won a title up there and proven himself at 147) Any three of them would be the only fights id really want to see him in. But hes got some time yet so the landscape could look a lot different when he has his 5th or 6th fight. So who knows!!!
Those fights won't be wanted by the fans after MAY 3rd, they will want Floyd to avenge his loss to Maidana first.
It is floyd we are talking about lol at the people saying he will fight GGG or any MW for that matter, He will do what he has done his entire career fight the weakest opponent that he can sell. His last 3 will be all either at 147 or 152 area he ain't going hear 160. Imo it will likely be, Khan, Garcia and to finish shot Pacquiao. He won't fight GGG, Lara, and as for going up to SMW as likely as Maidana beating him in May. Floyd isn't risking his 0.
1. Khan (if he gets past Collazo), If not Garcia. 2. Winner of Pac vs Bradley II 3. Whoever has the best opposition/results from now till then out of; Garcia, Brook/Porter, Thurman or Mattyhesse (though they should be made to fight each other first) All at 147 because i dont think he is going to face any middleweights or lightmiddleweights at lightmiddleweight. Its just a MASSIVE shame Edwin Valero isnt still with us really imagine Valero vs Mayweather or Pacquiao or Marquez or Bradley or Garcia or Crawford...
khan - maybe in england the way the froch groves tickets flew out Bradley - he will beat pac garcia - as long as he stays underfeated
You've obviously not seen Floyd's career before 135lbs? Floyd moving to 130lbs and taking on Corrales was seen as a HUGE risk at the time
Khan (If Khan can put in a good performance on May 3rd then I think Mayweather will fight him and to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing it) Winner of Pacquiao v Bradley (Highly unlikely but it's what I want to see) Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia (Floyd's last fight will probably be September 2015 so by then Thurman will of fought better opposition so whichever is undefeated)
Ok i'll give him that but basically the last risk he took was ODLH since then not one risk taken, even before Oscar he had some awful opponents, Baldomir, Gatti, Brusseles, Corley, Mitchell. Let's be real he has taken far far more cherry picked fights than risks or challenges
1. Khan in the UK - has he thought outside of the US? 2. Pac (think it could still happen, post Arum maybe?) 3. Thurman and on't think for a second that he won't have a final fight to break the record.
There's two fights that ideally we'd like to see and that's Pacquaio and Bradley. We've all been bored to death with the Mayweather/Pac saga and Bradley is also with Arum, so unless either of them cut ties with Top rank in the next 12/18 months we ain't going to see either of those fights. People saying Mayweather should go up to 160 need to get up off there arse, get a packet of pom bears from the cupboard, maybe a ribena if there feeling wild, sit back down and have a long hard think. Look at the weight Mayweather started at, look at the fact when he goes up to 154 he comes in under the limit, look at the size of him, look at the fact he is a WELTERWEIGHT... he is not going to go up to 160 not a chance. Khan will be the next fight after Maidana should he beat Collazo, the wheels have been put in motion already. Danny Garcia will be another potential fight should he keep winning, although he has to look better than he did against Hererra. Then we have Thurman. If he can seriously build his profile in the next 12 months with 2 big fights and win in style, he should definitely be banging on the door for a fight with Mayweather. Still though, with boxing anything can happen. Look at Maidana, a few fights ago he was being written off... now he's strung together a few wins and a massive win over Broner which boosted his credibility and he's landed himself a fight with May. Talking of Broner, was great to see him get his arse handed to him. But how great would it have been had he still kept his '0', him and 'big bro' Mayweather had a massive fall out, agreed to fight and Mayweather made him look like an amateur.
