Forch boxed to a game plan v Kessler, he worked behind the Jab because he knew it would put those early rounds in the bag and then Kessler would always be playing Catch up of which he did in the middle rounds but then Forchs strength shone through in later like it always does even though he got caught in the 11th.
I don't believe he was sluggish just working to a plan !

I think people remember to much of the Bute fight but that worked because Bute sat on the ropes and you cannot afford to do that with Froch or your time is up!

Froch under estimated Groves power and wanted a tear up in the 1st round, he stated that much in the press confrences and got caught with a right that would have finished nearly every Super Middle on the planet!

He wont make the same mistake again but he will try to back Groves up on the ropes to little or no success in the early rounds.

Groves needs to work on his stamina or its gonna go the same way again.

Froch needs to work from head to body more (he was successful with this at points during the first fight ) Groves loves to cover up with both hands leaving him wide open downstairs!

Froch will take punishment yet again but he will come out on top.

Will be an intriguing fight but Froch 7-9 for me.

If Froch comes out trying to put it on Groves from the opening bell, he'll get caught and we all know how good Froch's chin is but Groves had him out for a split second in the last fight who's to say the off switch might be hit for good this time round.

Groves is the fresher, younger, faster younger man who's hungry for that world title. Froch has to take him to the trenches and see if Groves can hang with him late on.

Let's not forget it was Groves who put Froch down, it was Groves who was able to push Froch back and it was Groves who was often the one holding the centre of the ring.

I think Groves will look to hold the centre of the ring once more, I know he could box off the back foot and he would out box Froch but a lot of movement in such a high profile fight against someone with the engine of Froch could work against him later on in the fight. He knows he has a few things to work on, but holding the centre of the ring worked for the most part last time round... he needs to do the same once more but make a few adjustments.

Groves is too fast, too young and hits too hard for an aging, slowing Froch. Groves will put Froch down again, and this time he won't be let off the hook.

See what your saying, but as good a fighter as Froch is.. he's not going to be able to work behind the jab and essentially 'out-jab' Groves.

Jab for jab, theres only one winner. Groves has the superior jab of the two.

I reckon all this "froch underestimated him" is bull froch lives the life, is always fit and trains hard. Sometimes you just meet the wrong guy at the wrong time in your career

Styles make fight and Groves has the style to beat him,I think Froch will get stopped in around 6 rounds,he took too much punishment last time..

It was laughable when Froch recently came out with that bollocks.

Look at how pissed off Froch was with Groves in the build up to the last fight, he really wanted to go to town on Groves - "the young pretender" - and take him out after all the talk and mind games. He was prepared as ever going into that fight as he was any other fight.

    Groves UD

Froch didn't underestimate Groves IMO, he just couldn't deal with how quick Groves was.

We've seen previously Carl has trouble with people who are quick and who move around the ring, both of which Groves does well.

Wouldn't just say it was all down to speed.. was a combination of a few things - speed, timing and the fact Froch didn't expect Groves to hold the centre of the ring like he did.

I think Froch thought Groves was going to go off the back foot like he did against Degale.

Froch seriously needs to work on his foot work and defending those right hands in the rematch though.

I agree with the point that Froch was talking bull about under estimating Groves. He knew how good Groves could be working with him in sparring and there was a lot of pride on the line, Carl wanted the KO in a bad way. I was really hoping he wouldn't go down the "underestimate" route, its a cheap excuse unless in very special circumstances ie Tyson Douglas. I thought Carl looks very nervous when entering the ring in their first fight, I think he knew he was in for a fight and maybe wasn't in the best mindset.

I think its a simple fact that Froch fought the wrong fight first time round, so I wish he would just say that and he would get a lot less hate. Maybe the only thing he did underestimate was the fact that he didn't think Groves could hurt him but he knew he had to be at his best to beat this young hungry fighter.

I don't think Froch should be thinking about taking him out early, which is basically what he tried last time, it was the wrong fight plan. I basically got this fight either Groves taking Froch out in the first 4 or 5 rounds with an explosive combination, or Froch taking Groves into deep water late in the fight and getting the TKO. At the moment I lean to the latter if Froch hasn't grown old over night or been too badly effected by the punishment he took. If there is any postponement to the fight, my guess is that Froch realises he doesn't have it.

I am a little concerned that one or both boxers will be badly hurt this time as many referees will be reluctant to step in and stop it after the last fight.

Don't know for sure who will win this fight, but that is the reason I want to see it.

I thinks its Groves that will come out quick and try and catch Froch early, Froch is a slow starter and gets stronger as the fight goes on which is the opposite of Groves. I would be surprised if Groves does not come out all guns blazing in the first. The longer the fight goes the more chance Froch catches Groves.
