Such a talented fighter who gets a lot of unwarranted stick on this forum. Frankie is as entertaining as his opponent as he likes to fight on the back foot. He is probably our most natural talent you boys should be getting behind him rather than slagging him off.

 

There was a lot of talk about his fitness and his lack of a sixpack before the fight, and the fact that "the snake" looked in great condition didn't escape peoples notice either.

I thought Gavin looked a little unsettled early on, and got caught far too often especially to the body, but just when I thought he might be getting exposed, he came on and landed some phenomenal and I mean phenomenal combinations, and his footwork was nothing short of sublime, he really can look amazing in certain spots.

Its just a matter ofputting it all together IMO

 

I dunno why so many people that don't like boxing come on here.
Frankie Gavin is probably the best boxer in the country. If you prefer brawling to boxing watch MMA.

I think Frankie's the type of kid that will really show his quality when he's fighting at a higher level. His best performance was in his toughest fight as a pro against Denton Vassell.

 

Probably needs a step up. Can completely understand when fighters don't step up, you'd just lose motivation knowing the guy who your fighting isn't too great and can become a annoying when every fight is a banana skin to your career.
