Think its the complete opposite tbh, Groves needs to finish Froch early before Groves gasses In the last fight Groves gassed do you really think he woulda had the power and energy to stop Froch around the 10th Groves has to put it all on the line and stop Froch in 6
Probably true but probably won't happen as Groves is too quick and sharp in the early rounds. If Froch doesn't stop Groves early I can see Groves building up a lead and Froch then having to chase the fight but walking on to counters as Groves just outboxes him.
I just wish we could see this fight peak v peak. Damned shame that we can't. I don't think Groves has reached his peak, whilst I do think that Froch is definitely past his. Can Groves improve from the first fight? I reckon he can. So for me, the question is how old is Froch... how much is he deteriorating? I really can't pick this fight. Which, of course, is why I'm so looking forward to it.
Are you joking? It was only last May some were saying Froch had never looked better (in beating Kessler). The only reason Froch looked past it in November was because Groves wasn't Kessler.
One poor performance and a fighter is suddenly past it or shot. If Groves beats Froch he deserves FULL credit, like Sly says it was only last year everyone was banging on about how great Froch looked.
Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that Froch is shot - it's just that he isn't getting any younger. He says himself that he's only got a few fights left. People naturally deteriorate as they get older (unless you're Bernard Hopkins). I just wonder if age is going to be a factor in the fight. Surely a legit question?
Froch didn't turn pro until he was 24. He's a late bloomer. He didn't box at all between the ages of 15 and 19. Yeah, he takes a lot of punishment, but he's not as 'old' as his age suggests.
If it goes late Froch will win, froch took his shots after the 1st, what makes you think Groves who obviously doesnt carry his power to the finish will stop him in the 10th..., atsch Crazy talk! George is dangerous early and will need to start fast again or he has no chance!
because everyone thinks what happened last fight will repeat itself this time. froch cant outbox groves and i dont think he can take the same punishment over 10rounds, best way to deal with GG is to do a 'bute' on him. froch will start faster this time round.
I think the whole situation is madness i see the same outcome as the 1st fight, every ****er talking about conspiracy, Groves had put so much into the early rounds he was ****ed by the end, Froch was robbed of a stoppage in this fight if the ref hadnt stopped it early there probably wouldnt be a rematch! I think you will see a better froch come fight night, i hope groves wins as i think it will be good for boxing but i dont see it.. Froch got caught cold in that 1st round he took Alot of power punchs after that, didnt go down did he.
except you, who somehow thinks the likeliest scenario is the exact opposite of what you witnessed last time. where's your logic? froch tried to bute gg and got put on his arse! he adjusted and didn't go down again. froch will be more cautious next time while keeping gg honest, looking to catch up with him as he fades.
Completely agree, think froch will try and circle a lot more, stay away from coming forward onto a right hand early. I don't think this fight will be quite like the 1st as I reckon groves will try and conserve energy and froch will be more cautious for the first 6 rounds or so. Could be a more tactical battle this time. Hope I'm wrong though and they both come to try and walk through each other, may the best man win :happy
