The thing that bothers me about Cotto is that he's so obviously a one handed fighter. He's an orthodox lefty like DLH. It just makes for a poorly balanced arsenal. Cotto looks awkward when throwing any kind of right hand and it never has a big impact.

Dude, why the **** are you in denial so much, seriously?

No, Cotto is not an ATG, you're a moron for thinking that. Yes, Mosely beat up Margarito, doesn't mean Mosely wasn't on the decline already. You talk about Cotto not needing PEDs to win fights... but what big fights has he won? Dude's best wins are over a 36 year old Mosely, and a one eyed Margarito, those are literally his two best wins! His resume is an absolute joke in reference to being an all time great, only a moron would even consider him one. What all time great loses to AUSTIN TROUT when he is 31 years old? :rofl Your boy Cotto is an overrated boxer, who won't even sniff the hall of fame, deal with it. He won't be anything more than a footnote in 20 years, seriously. He has become nothing but a stepping stone for guys, which is where he belongs.

I agree, but I don't think having your dominant hand forward is an issue if you train both sides equally. Cotto apparently injured his right arm so I guess he just decided to forget that it exists. When he throws a right it's always an off balance arm punch.

It was a debut fight, Im not sure why they were even that concerned about weights.

Usually a few pounds either way is fine when guys are starting out.

Apparently his weigh in was 135...which is actually quite light.

Maybe it was just a screw up by officials? Faulty scales or something.

What proof is there that Margarito ever wore plaster in his gloves against Cotto?

He will get in. One of the richest and more popular fighters of his era. He was the third biggest draw for quite a while.

You are just hating on Cotto because he does not rep your flag. Typical peasant-envy BS. On one hand you are talking about Mosley being "old" and yet...an even "older" Mosley, confiscated Margarito's Magic Wraps and decapitated him.

You mention the loss to Trout but even Cotto who is NOT a true middleweight, has admitted to not being in top form for Trout.

Cotto IS an all time great and has always sought to fight the best. Look into history and try to tell me that Cotto has NO chance against ANY of the so called ATGs. This is about levels and Cotto's losses are suspect to say the least with the exception of the Trout loss and the Mayweather loss (no shame there) which he made a very tough fight for Floyd.

I bet you are going to tell me JMM is an ATG right? Have you looked at his weak @ss resume?? Freddie Norwood...

Marquez has at best, 4 decent names on his resume with losses to 3 of those quality names: Mayweather, Bradley and Pacquaio. JMM matches well with Manny and even still he has 2 losses to Manny. He fought a Barrera with 67 fights under his belt... Funny how you try and diminish Cotto's resume while hyping up Marquez's resume. Typical peasant logic.

    Cotto=ATG. Deal with it.

I'm a massive Cotto fan but he isn't an ATG one of the best in the 2000's and he is still a very credible boxer in the 2010's

If Cotto is not an ATG, then we better take A LOT of these so called "ATGs" of that list too.

You wanna highlight TKO loss to plaster wraps as the basis for Cotto not being great, then you better start to look at Wlad getting sparked out by a Ross Purrity a dude with 13 losses... Or Marquez looking like a sparring partner for Floyd etc etc

Funny how dudes try and detract from Cotto but when you look a their heroes resumes, shet is weak as hell.

Again, Cotto=ATG. History will show this to be the case. 2 big losses against guys who were asterisk-suspect-worthy. You can talk about his loss to Trout at middle... but middle does not define Cotto at his best.
