Mayweather 130 = GOAT (shared with Arguello)
    Pacman 122 = #2 ATG
    Bradley 140 = Top 10
    JMM 126 = Top 20

    No Welterweights :conf

Keith Thurman beats them down because he is in his prime weightclass & age.

this about sums it up although i would probably say that danny has accomplished enough to be on the list.

beating the consensus number one jwws(at the time) is good enough

sergio, because of injuries and his last performance, cant be thought of as elite anymore.

canelo, because he beat trout, is a joke as is including lara

if ggg beats chavez at 168 then he should be considered elite

I dont associate elite to just any fighter and quite frankly the only fighter from 140 to 160 I'd peg as elite would be Floyd Mayweather and even he may be coming near to that not being the case as he's getting up there in age.

Marquez and Pacquiao both have elite pedigree, but Marquez is over 40, Pacquiao has mileage and been outclassed and KTFO by an aging Marquez, and both fight out of their natural weight class, so I dont consider them elite welters.

Though undefeated, a strong case can be made that Bradley has lost his last 3 fights and is damaged goods, I thought he lost to Pacquiao and Marquez and drew with Provodnikov, so I dont consider him to be an elite.

Young fighters like GGG and Canelo I consider to have potential to be elites, but have'nt proven it vs the best of their divisions, so I dont peg them as elites.

part of being elite is having had beaten elite fighters.

paq, jmm may no longer be what they once where but they have fought and beaten some of the best of their era and stil can beat anyone on any given night

impossible to say if bradley is damaged goods. he did not look so against jmm and may have the durability and resilience of a holyfield
